  • Straight to my heartsrings - comfort and calm.

    Thank You, Amy!

All praise to the Prince of Peace!

  • Amy, you are lovely.

  • Thank you Amy, just beautiful.

    God Bless you

  • that's what I call beauty!!!!

  • I love her so much, had the pleasure of meeting Vince last month at the park,he was just cruising by,saw the stage set-up n stopped n sang a few for the crowd, nice folks

  • I love how real and down to earth Amy is,. I've loved her music from the beginning and seen her in concert several times. This is an especially beautiful song that reaches and ministers deep in my heart and will for anyone going through hard stuff (and don't we ALL from time to time?). I recently bought her book, Mosaic, as well, and it's a beautiful book. Go Amy girl! Keep up the great work for many more years to come!

  • @Photoglogal You said every word I needed to say:) God blesses us with people who speak to our hearts,..and she's one of them. No matter what's been said or judged towards her,...I still thank God for how she speaks to my heart. It's an understanding and peacefulness she brings to my ears on the road, at home, or when just singing alone. She is doing a great job. Thanks Amy!

  • I love Amy Grant. I've grown up on her music, she never ceases to write songs that affect some part of me, and so many others. I'm an aspiring singer. I've written a few songs, I just hope I can write one as powerful as "Lead Me On" or "Ask Me" or "That's what Love Is For" someday. Love her!

  • Oh wow. She's not Eric Clapton. She's a singer, go cry a river.

  • look up the description and it says "Amy Grant singing at an event for her new book, Mosaic. ". she's doing this for her BOOK, not a MUSICIAN.

  • shes more of a singer then an author.

  • Anyone know the chords she is playing?

  • She has tuned her guitar to play a D major chord on open strings, then capo'd on the 5th fret. This puts the song into the key of G maj. She then uses the easy 2 fingered E7 chord on the first and 3rd frets, in parts of the song. The rest is too difficult to explain here I'm afraid, but it's not difficult to play as long as you know the fingering.

  • This is from Rock of Ages...hymns & faith, released on may 2005...

I can't explain how much I love her...

  • She is awesome!!!

  • Oh, my. Just beautiful. Thank you for posting.

  • the only place this was ever released was as a single on a "WOW" - not sure which year - late 90's

  • it was released on WOW HITS 2006 also=)

  • i found it on a country collection cd which is called "three wooden crosses" ..i thought this song would be more popular but i only found it once here ^^

  • WOW Hits 1998, song #4 on Black Disc

  • Love it! The people in bars and churchs are all the same behind the eyes! Nicely put Amy :)

  • Where is the original version from? What CD??

  • It's from her 2005 CD, Rock of Ages...Hymns & Faith.

  • I love this song. At her concert she said this song came from a niece of hers that was suffering from alcoholism.

  • She is singing this right now on TBN : )

This song has helped me so much, as I live with chronic pain and have laid in bed, crying from intense pain; her voice has healed me too.

    God bless you, Amy

  • Amy

    i love your dear Friend!!

    Lucy

  • This is one of my favorite Amy Grant songs!!
