@DreamfallenOne Thanks! I really can't believe it either! That's why I recorded it! If you want a high quality MP3 for your MP3 player, just let me know.
@CoolBeansEntertainer I don't know, but I had lessons for about 18 months when I was 15. Then didn't play again for years and years. Now I've been playing again since 2004
@aleksmusic94 Thanks! Yes, I hope so too, but I am no longer expecting it, after it wasn't on Battle Studies. Plus the new album will be postponed a while while John gets his voice back.
@strathers Thanks! Well of course it starts with a good amp and guitar. I recorded this with an Apogee Duet 2 and a couple of Rode NT1a mics. For guitar a Shure SM57 also works great. Positioning is critical as is room treatment. I like the mic 1 inch off the grill cloth right where the cone and the cap of the speaker meet. I put a couple of pillows behind the mic to cancel any room reflections. The rest is some compression and reverb in Logic Pro

Nice cover. I'm really hoping there's a chance Mayer will put this on his next record. I'm dying to hear the completed version.

Great stuff! How did you record your guitar? Sorry I'm new to guitar recording, and I would like to achieve a similar tone to you.
Really nice playing though!
