Kina has a certain style of voice that works with a specific kind of song. This is not one of them. It's all about song choice and in this case, she didn't have a choice so its not her best.

You're right about song choice being important but I would have to disagree in that I believe this was a good song for Kina to sing. It's true that this anthem isn't usually sung in the manner that Kina chose but she did make it her own. I actually think this is one of the better songs I've heard from her because she didn't speed the tempo up as she has done with some of her covers.

i think with some experience and more lessons kina could sing this great. with kina, you have someone who sings quite well given the fact that on pure gifted talent alone and watching groban sing it made reminded me of one important word of advice when singing: you gotta be patient, make it smooth, and know when it is the right time to breath.
