It's interesting to see how easy Gilbert forgets his loyalty to Baron in case when Marian is in danger. In our Russian variant even his voice changes when he speaks to her. So sexy :-)

i think they HAD to make it like that. Else, what was going to happen in the end? The hero (Robin)must get the girl. So the only way is to make him "bad". But still he was already so well described and dreamy that was easy to fall for him. (now that i think about it its kind of like Edward Cullen)

I was so much into Gilbert(only 14 at that time) ,even when the series finished i didnt pass that crush. I dont remember how it finishes thought...

@tirane25 In the end, Gilbert redeems from his past mistakes and turns into a considerably good guy, he also gets rid of his obsession for Marian. He's last seen joining King Richard for the Crusades.
