The second to last part of the video was most important because it explained in detail the effects drug trafficking has on criminal organizations. This is the point you should be petitioning, not estimates on how much our government is making.
Numbers don't explain anything, especially if they're in the hundreds of thousands, because we can't make sense of what they represent. Facts speak for themselves.
Im personally against legalisation, I will try to get in politics when I get older. Im 17 now. I think pot smokers should get life imprisoment and death sentence to drug dealers. Think of the children you idiots, you should n shall all be in jail and I will look foward to have a place in politics to make the laws I wish in America to come true. Say no too Marijuana. Put potheads in prison and death sentence to drug dealerss will do the society good. That's my opinion.
@90talisten Why dont you just....You dont smoke weed, let others smoke, and if they do something bad while they are high the punishment will be more sever...
@90talisten You are a VERY immoral person. Death sentence for drug dealers? That makes you a murderer. You make potheads look like saints. Think of the children? Yeah, think of the children who do what children always do, and take a chance and try pot once, and are given a life-sentence (essentially murdered) by you. People like you are terrible human beings.
Nothing immoral about cleaning the streets from criminals that sell drugs to children that become drug addicts, that's like murder but mental rather than physical murder and those who sell drugs are killing people by the stuff they sell, so they shall be punished by death and potsmokers have no place in America, so they should be locked in prison for life. I promise you I will make that law come true in 10 - 20 years.
@90talisten Your precious drug laws are what's creating the black market that allows children to buy said drugs without showing I.D., dumbass. Ask the former cops and D.E.A. agents of L.E.A.P. (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition), who are for ending the drug war. And I think they'd know a little bit more about the drug war than you. Aren't you missing your mormon youth group night right now?
I may be talking out of my ass here, but doesn't it all come down to money? From what I remember:
-Anti-hemp corporations, e.g. textile companies
-Pharmaceutical companies who don't like not being able to control medicinal herbs and other substances
-Profits from the private prisons these countless youths are being admitted to
-The U.S. has trained and is training terrorist organizations all over the world, perhaps these organizations are getting a cut of this black market money too?
3 out of 4 people do not like the way the war on drugs is and the same percent think that medical marijuana should be legalized it will be first made into a schedule 2 drug instead of 1 next it would be legal for medical reasons creating revenue for the government off pot taxes the government loves money the last step which will happen (anti pot people know this) within the next 10 to 15 years which will create more money for the government and help move the us economy in the right direction
Why do people even try to tell their kids not to smoke and stuff? Me as a kid, i thought man so many people are always talking about how fun drinking and pot is, how come my parents don't want me to do it? So i got curious and tried it.

I remember in 6th grade (1966) they warned us that Marijuana may cause "euphoria". Being 6th graders we didn't know what "euphoria" meant so my buddy and I looked it up. It said that euphoria may cause a false sense of well being. Even a 6th grader knows that feeling good for no particular reason was a GOOD thing. Why don't the PHD's writing the material understand what a 6th grader can look up in 3 minutes with a Webster's Dictionary??
Legalizing it would pull us out of the depression faster than smoking it. 50 billion dollars a year, saved, and not to mention you can just tax it. If 150 million Americans buy $1,000 worth of pot a year (it's not even that much) that's $150 billion dollars going back into the economy. Instead of blindly condemning pot for being "evil" they could just educate us about its uses and convince us to smoke responsibly.
hey clelticninja, according to studies, not only is rehabilitation much more effective in treating someone for a drug problem, it is a hell of a lot cheaper. Currently, about 2/3 of the people who NEED AND WANT help cannot get admitted.
This is ridiculous. This country could probably pull itself out of it's financial bind if it just treated Marijuana like it does alcohol. I imagine violence would go down as well.
GREAT!

American Drug War Economics - Volume 1
teetofknowledge 2 years ago
You cannot refuse the masses.
If you try it will lead to failure.
Take religion for example... why did the first settlers arive in America?
Freedom of Religion
If a kid goes to the store to buy beer or cigs and the deal goes bad the kid is told to leave.
If a kid goes to a dealer and the deal goes bad the kid may die.
Did the drugs kill the kid or did prohibition?
Does the drug dealer really care?

Putting 53% of americans in jail is impossible. We would become a 3rd world country very quickly if we even incarcerated 5% of the population.
