  • jims72 - Thanks for posting the video. Simple valve, but needed Teflon tape to make an airtight seal. Made and installed it last night on my 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon - 202K miles. Set for 10 psi...made a HUGE difference in how the engine performs. Comes on strong much earlier. No plans to change the pressure until in swap injectors and get an A/F monitor. Love to hear the turbo whistle going under an overpass!

  • I feel tired just by listening to you... lol

  • nice vid, but the more you restrict the flow to the waistgate, the more boost that will be generated. if you wind the bolt out, it will have less restrictive affect over the boost pressure signal to the wastegate

  • @yetman87 exactly. thus you will have a lower boost level. i made this vid at 3:00 am i was kinda tired.

  • Hey bro does it matter if i use 1/4 brass tee nd hose brab? Or it has to be 1/8?

  • @mousey3054 no it doesn't 1/8 inch is just easier and cheaper to work with

  • thanks ima make 1 it should be safe to run 15-17 psi i hope legacy turbo td04 fmic 440s injecters 255 walbro fuel pump and and i got all the guages im good lol after i make this thanks

  • you are backwards the spring should stop the boost from going to the wastegate not venting or making a boost leak

  • @toyotasupramk2 the ball bearing goes under the spring.I just installed this setup on the caravan and it works great!

  • Hi!

Great video, very informative. I would like to make one and put it on my bmw 725tds (the m51 engine. Its a TF04-13T turbo). I don't wan't to overdo it, just a slight increase (For example from 143bhp to 155-160bhp). Do you think my fuel system could handle that? (I can't seem to find info about this)

    Kind regards

  • @CoolgearOS what have you done to the fuel system? if it is stock i wouldnt chance running over your stock cutout point yet.get yourself a larger fuel pump and you could probably bump the boost up two or three lbs safely.if you want to do it right do the pump and injectors then you can probably go over what you want.i dont know bmw's real well as i am a mopar guy but the theory is the same for all cars.run a boost and A/F gauge as well they are mandatory.good luck hope this helped.

  • @jims72 Yes, this helped me alot, thanks! Will search after a beter fuel pump/injectors that will fit my engine. You think the ECU will give me a problem?

    Thanks again!

  • @CoolgearOS it should be good for what you want to do but a new chip never hurt a thing!
