  • hi cool meal

  • I just made this tonite and it gets my THUMBS UP! I am newly raw (on a budget) and admitedly splurged for the Arame. I hoped my 2 teenage meat-eating-cooked-foods kids didn't like it, but I was surprisingly wrong! They loved it! I also noted that it could REALLY go a long way... depending on what veggies you add to it. THANK YOU for this recipe! Being newly raw on a budget has me keeping my eye out for few-ingredient recipes I can make up (and stick with) easily & cheaply! This is a new fave!

  • your kelp noodle recipe from a while back looked wonderful, still trying to find a health food store in canada that carries them..!! no luck so far.. kudos to you both for taking life on in the RV!! if you are ever stuck for a place to park, walmart parking lots are an area that tent trailers, trucks and rvs park for free with no hassle, its that way in canada, and i'm sure its a nationwide policy.. hope that helps.. you both are great!! love the cat!!!

  • That lood good.

  • that looks so easy and delicious, im gonna make it w seaweed ive had sitting around, thanx :)

  • Do you guys live in that RV?

  • oats + berries + milk, done in 1 minute.

  • milk sucks and it ain't healthy

  • Well obese Jim, sorry but you're all wrong..

You can either accept it or if you still don't believe it i'll have to send you some studies that prove SCIENTIFICALLY that milk is not good for you. Also, you'd be surprised what kind of things r not getting banned. Don't be naive please.

  • You might be right.

Scientific studies are important, but the studies are usually isolated, with a lot of assumptions and generalizations. Thus, it's impossible to relate the results to yourself directly.

I think the healthiest foods make you feel good on the inside, and doesn't make your weight fluctuate. Milk and oats give me that feeling, thus I won't agree with you. We have to agree to disagree.

  • feed the fuzz ball

  • I wish I was a raw foodest. but funds are really low at the moment and I live with 3 meat eaters. plus I have no idea how to begin/what I need to eat so I am healthy and not just hurting myself. I would buy books and whatnot but again funds are low. Im so tired of being over weight and just wish to be like you and ann marrie.

  • Anyone can go raw, it depends where your motivation is. Eating raw is not as expensive as people think - it's actually quite the opposite depending on where you get your food from. One of the most common misbeliefs is the price factor. Farmer's markets, farm co ops, buying in bulk, ehtnic markets, etc. will save you major bucks. If you want it, make it happen. You deserve the best of health! : )

  • Don't get overwhelmed with trying to buy all the expensive things and exotic produce unless you can afford and want those things. I'm not a 100% raw foodist but I get in there around 70% on a good day and I'm losing weight on a tight budget :o) I make most of my raw food into green smoothies which are breakfast and usually lunch. For dinner I have salad (or something I picked up here from the Gianni's) and maybe a little cooked brown rice or other whole grain. Keep it simple Bensabeast!

  • I thought organic minerals turn back into inorganic minerals when heated...? Is there a temperature that we should look out for...?

    ThrowTogetherRecipe: BASIC SALAD

    - green lettuce (spinach or romaine or green leaf)

    - tomatoes (cherry or grape uncut)

    - avocado (mashed w/ fs lemon juice)

    - and any extras (Nutritional Yeast, Garlic powder, Cilantro, Pink Mineral Salt, Tomato Concentrate powder, any Green powders, onions, celery, etc.)

fs - fresh squeezed w/ cheap retro glass citrus press

  • why won't you fast?

  • Well, basically I just like to live on raw chocolate superfood smoothies with raw honey, cacao nibs, hemp seeds, goji berries, hemp seed oil, flax seed oil, coconut butter, celtic sea salt, cinnamon, vanilla, lecithin, stevia, MSM, bee pollen, and other things. That's my throw it together recipe! I used to make salads a lot in 2007 and also got into sea veggies at that time but found with a vata dosha body type greens exaggerate my tendency towards dryness and coldness in the body.

  • looks good and simple..i love arame! thanks for the salad idea
