the thing with this conversion is that we only used the V12 and ecus from the 750il. everything is from the exiting E34.
the original drum wouldn't fit so we used a generic (from the mitsubishi evo) and moved it further down. I must say, the evo drum does brake better than stock
The V12 project you see in the video is now history. it was semi-complete and wasn't running as well as i expected.
i've since removed the whole thing and have dumped in another 750il as-is. :)
e34 with a frankensteined motor from a 7 series...even not running properly...would destroy your civic...in the turns, on the straight or just sitting in the parking lot. if you haven't had the pleasure of driving a proper rear wheel drive German auto with superior handling at speed then its understandable that you are ignorant. if 2 liter motors and none limited slip front wheel drive were the way to go BMW would be making cars in that configuration. as it is the best sports sedans are not.

How did you guys get this engine to run without the Motronic ECU's ? Also, the Manual throttles instead the EML motors? Are you guys in the US?
Genius!! I spent a month restoring one that had not run for 10 years. Very expensive for part when you can find them... Tell me how you bypassed all the computer stuff.
we are still running the 2 motronic ecus for each bank as default. just removed the automatic and drive by wire throttle ecus. we added a generic Throttle position sensor to the manual throttle bodies.
Its cool and everything, but why not in a E30?? This car is a bit to big I think, its just 5.0l at 12 cylinders... should be 6.0l;)
Only 300hp and if one row with sylinders break the other will go.. That makes it more like a technologic break through then high performance or raw power... ;D
