Thank you for helping me understand that he was speaking of an actual bar. I was pondering if he was speaking of 'King Arthur's' Avalon where the sword, Excaliber was pulled from the rock. That was the mythical place which I was speaking. I guess that I thought that phrase may have had a deeper meaning, but on his midnight watch he did realize why twice she ran away. (1). It should be labelled "Crosby, Stills, and Nash." Young should be left out. The song was not recorded when Neil Young was in the group.

Hope you find Movemaker, but If you can't and you don't want to buy another copy, there is a free alternative from Microsoft called MS Photostory. Like this video, my vids are just still images and music, and I use Photostory to put them together. It's not got all the bells and whistles, but it is free.

The lyric is just Papeete...not Papeete Bay. They just stretch it out but there is no Papeete Bay that I know of. Just the city in the French Polynesian island.

I guess some one might have already suggested in the past, but this was a single by the first reunion of Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1981 or 82, not featuring Neil Young, who was busy for his solo acts in those days :)

Beautiful song. I've never sailed, but everytime I hear this song I think about taking it up. I guess you can't sail away from a broken heart and find "that woman girl who knows love can endure" at the Southern Cross. But I'd love to try.

@98maxridestreet i love that im not the only 13 year old girl who likes this kind of music! like you, i was raised to this fantastic era of music. i mean, just the fact that kids our age dont know who the beatles, elton john,crosby,stills, nash,young, led zeppelin and all those great bands and songwriters from the 60s to 2000 period just makes me frustrated. i wish i was born in the 70s! and im not saying that the singers today are all bad, but they will never compare to the greatness of this!

Rap Sucks. Kill, rob, mug, shoot, stab everyone you see. So you can go to prison or be executed, come on people, tons and tons of fun. It will never match this song or music. None of the popular music will ever match this. Never. The jam bands can match this, but none of the top forty garbage can even come close to this.
