I don't understand why they would have Steve not sit next to Kayla at the table. He would never let Jack sit next to her like that. Overall though, great scene. Just amazing.
The forgiveness that Kayla gives Jack when she took his hand was awesome. She would never forget what happened with him but she'd moved past it and could see that Jack had changed.
For me this was the moment that Jack's redemption was very close to being complete if not already complete. For me the Johnsons really became a true family at this moment.
