I know this is about WW2 movies but in terms of realistic Vietnam movies; Check out Hamburger Hill - It was released in 1987. Its one of the more underrated movies. Also, check out 'Siege Of Firebase Gloria. I can't remember the release date but Lee R. Ermy is in it.

But the other two were brilliant! Personally letters from iwo jima was better. It focused more on the fight over iwo jima and gave a japanese perspective on it. It makes you feel bad for the 'enemy' and shows that it wasn't ever so great for them either.

Pearl harbour was a very poor movie in my thoughts, you should have used some clssics like "All Quiet on the Western Front" "Bridge at Remagen" "Bridge on the river Qwai" "The Longest Day" "Satlingrad" "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence" "The Sands of Iwo Jima" but Flags of our fathers and letters from Iwo Jima are both very good also.
