Je connaissais Hank Williams Sr de nom, du fait qu'il est mentionné dans le film Les Evadés. A l'écouter, je me rends compte qu'Elvis s'en est inspiré, mélangeant le style country avec du blues pour inventer le rock'n roll. Les frères Cohen ont sans doute voulu faire un clin d'oeil à HW avec Les Culs Trempés de "O'Brother". Très bon morceau, bien composé. Une découverte de plus grâce à Youtube.

This is fine and congratulations to Hank for writing this, but Johnny Burnette's version is much better. Burnette's up tempo singing of this one gives the song more of a sense of a woods on fire, than old Hank's warbling.

@kevinocooldaddy although he drank a lot,hank didn't die from drinking...he died of a morphine overdose administered by his doctor(who travelled with the band). Hank was in constant pain because he was born with spina bifida occulta,therefore needed those drugs for the pain,but as with anyone who has access to it all and noone who will say "NO" he eventually mixed the two to an extreme that burst his heart muscle...therefore official cod...heart failure

Have to agree with most of the comments - this is Country music in its purest form and I Love it! For me it's about how a song makes you feel - and listening to this makes me very, very happy! Modern artists (with one or two exceptions) just don't make me feel this way. Auld Country wins every time - these artists done it for the love and the passion. It seems todays artists do it for the love of money and the passion that can buy! I'm settin' the woods on fire - yeah!
