  • OMG I yelped at 0:17 xD

  • O_O' I peed myself when I saw 0:17

  • omg bff lol sos

  • Transformers toys were shitty looking back then.

  • @Amoraklin2 It was a simpler time.

I believe they refer to it as "the 80s".

  • I had Bonecrusher and still probably do got him for like $3 but i lost him so idk where he is...FML

  • Devastator's attacking!

No wait, he's got an arm off, it's fine.

And now his chest and midsection have fallen apart.

  • sony vegas 8.0 detected

  • aaaaaaaaaahahahaha i remember the hissing noise from out tv when we recorded videos back in the day on vhs.

  • 0:14

Kid, what the fuck are you doing? Did anyone notice him pull down the shovel when he was in complete robot mode?

  • I loved the Constructicons, and nobody can't deny that Devastator is badass.

  • They have VERY good knock offs of Devastator, Defensor, and Superion at alot of Big Lots stores. They are well made except for the fact the color scheme on Defoensor is off. Remember how Hot Spot was light blue, well now he's red, but I guess a blue fire truck didn't make much sense as cool as it was!

  • I had both soundwave and devastator. i had about 350 transformers in total as kid..lol

  • There was another toy back then, it was an autobot, and it was made by multiple autobots, like Devastator. They where sold in stores the same season. What was it called?

  • @kalambalikis Were they all planes or emergency vehicles? The former are the Aerialbots who turn into Superion and the latter are the Protectobots which form Defensor.

  • @themetalsonic94 Yeah, it was Defensor. I had that, and Thunder Clash... :)

  • 0:15

-That fake and never will be rrrrrr...*TZZZZZ transform activated* real

  • The KO knock off Gen 1 Transformers are perfect copies. I have Devastator, Wheeljack, Mirage, Sunstreaker and Cliffjumper. Youd never know the difference from the originals. Except that the spelling on the box art is atrocious.

  • @rockhard242 plus they dont come with the stickers ( ive got prowl ) and hes just a white police care lol

  • S3 music with S1 toys. Don't think I saw them for sale after the movie.

  • i am your new leader

  • Soundwave superior, Constructicons inferior

  • @pawel1818

    Who are you calling "inferior"?

Nobody would follow an uncharismatic bore like you!

  • I wonder if anyone can help? About ten years ago this line of transformer-like toys were released and i cant remember what they were called! They weren't transformers, kinda like a spinoff thing. The only thing i remember is they came in packs of 5 which were the teams. You transformed each of the vehicles in each set, stuck them together and they combined to make one robot. Does anyone here know them and remember what they were called? Defo released in UK, not sure in USA...:P

  • @georgek14..... If it wasn't Transformers it was Voltron.. tho only high selling robot toys remember from back then..

  • @ColinoDeani....Ah unfortunately no. All the sub-robots were cars or helicopters and they were each about 1.5 inches long. They were only fairly small toys. :P

  • @georgek14 power core combiners?lol idk

  • THIS IS SO AWKWARD AND DUMB

  • PS...and Unicron too.

  • Constructicons/Devastator was amazing. best part of transformers besides Soundwave and Rumble.

  • I remembered having this. :\

  • I lol'd at the kid.

  • i tink the revenge of the fallen version is better than that

  • XD I used to have this but I donated. All of it to charity except for to of them XD

  • These were too pricey for my parents. So my brother and me had to share the collection. It took us all Summer to collect the set. We were finally able to assemble the giant robot and our sister broke it. We were so pissed.

  • LOL Long Haul was transformed wrong.

  • im one of those kids who wants to complete them but they were too expensve to be bought by parents.... and now that i have a job, they are way MORE expensve than back then

  • its sad that tranformers isnt still like this

  • **actual change time may vary**

  • never cared for the combining robot liines even when they first came out. look how many add-ons devestator needs to combine. half the stuff has no relation to the vehicle modes at all. personally i thought he looked like my gobots fell into the storage bin for my gi joe weapons bin and they got tangled up into a ugly mess.

  • THAT SUCKS DUDE!!

  • Flash back of when Devastator actually looked like a robot, and not a big fat metal glory hole that really sucks dick by Michael Gay.

  • @808jspekeg6

He was trying to make him look like a monster, not a humanoid. Added to his enormous size, it makes him much more intimidating then G1 Devs. As for your immature homophobic pun,.... Well, continuing that sentence would be redundant.

  • omfg! i didint know at all! back when i ws a kid they were in dollar stores seperatly and i just broke em all! wow lolz

  • This is a different Constructicons Commercial version

  • when that kid transformed into a robot i shat my pants with fear

  • :17 is just freaky. I wonder if Small Wonder could transform into a giant robot.

  • sold seperately? i should be 6-a-team!!! SCREW YOU NARRATOR!!!

  • Lil transformer boy give me nightmares

  • yeah and I like the concept of using metal as bones for robots (chogokin line) but c`mon! I like the outer shell to have metal too...stainless steel...or platinum ^_^

*one dream I had was that the Dinobots would combine one day...

  • yeah and I like the concept of using metal as bones for robots (chogokin line) but c`mon! I like the outer shell to have metal too...stainless steel...or platinum ^_^

  • What I would do to live the 80's over again.Great toys made with pride and high standards in Japan; that had die-cast parts, good strong high plastics. Not like today with this cheap Chinese made junk crappy plastic remakes.(nothing against Chinese people just product dislikes)

  • stop at 00:17

  • wierd song

  • @redstar555 its the original song from the 80's cartoon.

  • I loved transformers back then it was just :Bring down legs, rotate waist ,pull down arms, flip up head and DONE now its :splt apart legs, rotate waist flip down feet roatate arm pannels twist arm, push back tires, form the legs and UGGGHHH som much stuff 80`s will always Rule (even though i was born in 1999 hehehe)

  • For an 80s toy he looks cool. But compared to todays things 80s was a waste of plastic. Transformations were simple and got boring after a while and they had very little articulation. Which is why Fortress Maximus' articulation was pretty advanced for a G1 toy.

  • @TFDude101 Yeah, I agree. That is why I do like the Transformers Classics versions because they have the same paint scheme as the G1 figures, but they have more posability.

  • I wonder why they used the season 3-4 music for this?

  • The worst phrase a parent could hear back in the days when kids loved action figures was :"SOLD SEPERATLY". We would always want the full pack XD

  • 0:17 is kinda scary O_O''

  • @blackcamcorder he's a pretender!!!

  • That SOB was always giving me a hard time to put together as one robot!

  • i licke the energon repaints buth the g1 toys are the best lucking i want the g1 constructicons so bad buth i know i will never geath theme beacus i dont want to bay knockoff figures and the originals is so expensive

  • ..... ahhh memories. Fire up the time machine doc I know where I'm going.

  • Lol I like the kid XD

  • Sweet! I STILL have Devastator to this very day! Kinda hard to get him into that Big robot mode, though. I became easier with later Combiner models, like The Protectobots or Stuntocons.

  • @rang3r34 Although Bruticus the combined form of the Combaticons was a pain because his shoulders drooped after a while

  • DID YOU SERIOUSLY HAVE TO BUY ALL 6 TRANSFORMERS SEPARATELY?!! if so, then I bet TF G1 collectors are ripping their hair out trying to find a complete set of constructicons.

  • @birca04 they did sell a boxed set of all 6, but the stores in my area didn't have them at the time.

Separately I remember they were over $6.00 apiece, but I got them all. Today I have maybe 3 constructicons remaining around somewhere, and none of the Devastator accessory pieces. Those little pieces are easy to lose.

  • @birca04 Nope....I received the Devastator 6-pack back in Xmas 1986!!

  • @stoopidmonkeyful i got the devastator giftset as well.FUCKIN AWESOME!

  • These are the only real Constructicons...

  • I still have mine! Works great! All individually bagged up so they will stay good and safe for years to come!

  • I remember wanting to buy the whole constructicon set from this costco like store, I mean I was four or five at the time. Anyway it came with every decepticon to form the large one.

  • MATRIX ENERGON VISION is a store on ebay that offers great prices on transformers figures and parts. Look them up! They always have good deals.

Free shipping, low prices, & great service.

  • GO-BOTS were the generic transformer toy its like hot wheels vs matchbox cars lol

  • these were the best i remember a friend of mine had one that transformed into a working cassette walkman loland for all those who grew up with these who remembers the GO-BOTS lmao oldschool.

  • ravenindego. what was the point of puttings a old commercial on youtube

  • @ravenindigo For some people its nostalgic and they want to see them again. Maybe not your thing but for some of us who grew up with g1 transformers we appreciate it.

  • I own it...it's a real piece of crap it falls apart when you form devastator...waste of money

  • @6plastic then u must hate g1

  • that old devastator is better than the new one

  • i love this

  • God I would killed for a Devastator as a kid or a Soundwave..that was my sh*t!!!!

  • Did hasbro release this set for there anniversy because i found was optimous, insecticons and perceptor in a place called toys r us.

  • lololol no just the new movie version i was talking about the original from the 80s

  • i got this toy but i broke it

  • I never knew there was a gift set containing all of them. I only had Long Haul.

  • i only have mixmaster

  • Sigh.......

You'd think since they're advertising something that was new and innovative like these were at the time, that they'd do it right. Pause at 26/27 secs. Mixmaster is transformed incorrectly.

  • i got the gift set as a kid. was super cool to play with even if once it got to robot mode it could fall apart easily. jsut the fact that it could make a giant robot was revolutionary!!!!

  • OMG creepy transforming kid!

  • @Aprilsowner All the kids in G1 Transformers ads were creepy.. :p

  • Cool! I still have the gift set with the big ass box that has all of them.

  • Comment removed

  • you must be new at G1 TFs. In every G1 toy comercial, you see the kid transform, it's kinda classic!

  • 0:17 is weird the kid transforming D:

  • Haha hey, that was cutting edge animation back then. That shit blew minds when this was on the air.

God, I remember this being on TV. I'm old :( hahaha

  • i was born in 1997 after the constructicons raigh but i have bonecrusher because my dad gave me his last one bonecrusher

  • we are both born in the same year

  • Whats wrong with that kid lol

  • that was so funny my 6 year old brother couldn't stop talking about it until he forgot about it haha

  • They should remake all the G1 and G2 combiner team with modern toy technolgy and sell it in stores.

  • @BlackAce1229 Yeah and not repaints of energon combiners!

  • @BlackAce1229 I wish they would do that, too. But they only repaint them instead. That's all they can do.

  • @BlackAce1229 isnt that what the universe toy line is kind of doing

  • @BlackAce1229 i know that they remade devastator not the movie one the g1 one

  • @BlackAce1229

They've already done Devastator, Superion and Bruticus. I guess all that leaves is Menasor and Computron.

  • @BlackAce1229 I agree, but only if they did them accurately in both modes and the colour schemes were correct. They're heading in the right direction with the G1 Seeker Jets in the Generations/Classics line.

  • Man, these old commercials are so funny to me now. Back then, the idea of having those huge combiner robots; Transformers/Voltron, in our small child hands was so coveted! lol They were so physically huge and heavy in our hands. And now we're all adults and these same toys are what we continue to covet! Haha.

  • Megatrons voice sounds odd, i got 5 of the green constructicons for free, and paid $25 for a non broken Hook. Damn Devastator falls apart at the slightest breeze, also have Actionmaster Devastator, all non combining G1.5 yellows, paid $350 for loose in package of the Orange G2 s and have 1 yellow g2 longhaul. Still dont have any french constructicons. Also got some decoys recently.

  • so someone is making them againg just copying the old toys... is a good thing i guess

  • I went to a local Walgreen one day in 2007, and I seen all these guys in a six pack for seven dollars. thing is, it was a Knock of. I could tell by the box art that it was a very generation 1 robot. no where on the box it said it was a transformer, I just got it because I like combining robots. when i found out it was a devastator knock off, besides the box, the only thing different about it was the stickers, and maybe the quality of the plastic. it still has it's Green and purple coloring.

  • yha i got the same one two and it sucked lolz mine kep breking

  • I had this thing, the problem with it was that it was so fragile it fell apart way too easily. I lost all of them except mixmaster which I still have.

  • It's interesting to compare the US version with the original Japanese Diaclone Construction Robo commercial found here. Do a search for plasticfetish he has a lot of the old Japanese Diaclone commercials up.

    --Dancougar82

  • Cool! I still have Bonecrusher and Mixmaster in loose condition.

  • I'd like to see 25 robots that merge into 5 large robots that, in turn, merge into one giant super robot!

    Maybe named him "DeceptiKing"!

  • there were so many awesome transformers, but this was my favorite! i just had these out today, letting my 3 year old nephew play with them...25 years later!!!!!!!!! i really want to start collecting all the cool toys i had in the 80's (TONS)...

  • Robot's in Disguise ? more like Children in Disguise seeing that Kid change into an Ultra Magnus lookalike ! .

  • So there were six robots in g1 but in energon there were 5 robots.

  • i just noticed at 0:14 long haul had the crotch plate behind his head

  • oh yeah

  • Yeah, I still have Devastator along with Superion and whatever the name of the big guy the Protectobots formed. I broke two of my constructicons tryin' to build Devastator back in the day and had to buy replacements! I still have not taken them apart in over 20 years!

  • Did you mean Defensor?

  • Yeah! That's the one! Thanks for reminding me!

  • In Yu Gi Oh!, When you get all five pieces of Exodia, you win the game. When you get all the pieces of Devastator, you win every game for the rest of your life.

  • consturcticons inferior soundwave suprior

  • "Who are you calling inferior!?"

"Nobody would follow an uncharasmatic bore like you!"

  • HEY nobody calls soundwave Unchrezzamatic!

    YA LETS KICK TAIL GATE!

  • "¡Constructicons unite!"

  • Frenzy & Rumble: NO WAY!!!!!

  • If I was astrotrain I would have spaced them!

  • Hahaha, I remember Devastator, still have that piece of crap, It's so true, once you had him together he was useless! It would take you at least 15 to twenty minutes to put it together and the thing fell apart in seconds!

  • what sucked about the constructicon toys was individually they were smaller than most other Transformers. If they were normal size then Devastator would have been a real beast and not the same size as Ultra Magnus

  • what i don't get about devastator is that he has jet wings on his chest. why is that?

  • omg i remember this ad!

  • i had the 2nd generation constructicons they where yellow

  • I loved the constructicons. Devestator was awesome. I hated that they made a bunch of "connect the robots to form a giant robot" after Devestator. He was the best.

  • I have the g1 Constructicons from the individual packs they rock !!!!! Best Transformer ever!!!

  • What Constructicons did you buy?

  • me lo compraron cuando tenia 12 años... y todavia lo conservo intacto

  • i must be on crack because that fat little kid's head turned into a robots head. it's scary. i bet he learned ho w to transform his head from tv

  • [00:13] Why is Devastator's abdominal armour plate strangely balanced on the inexplicably upright cabin hood? Wierd!

[00:18] How good is the kid turning into a transformer? Become the characters!

[00:25] Inferno & Tracks will have seen better days...

  • Yeah, Inferno & Tracks are done.

  • WOW

  • Happy Days!

  • Frank Welker aka Megatron was in the Constructions toy ad? That's awesome!
