They first started canning beer in 1935..Kruger was the first,then schlitz and pabst etc...all beer cans and bottles after prohibition ended in 1933 had to have "Internal Revenue Tax Paid" printed somewhere on the label...the stopped in 1950...around '62 or '63 the pull tab was invented and before that all cans needed a can opener to open...that should help you with dating older cans and bottles.
