  • There is no grief, there is no sorrow... sorry but I think she doesn't make the role, although her technique is not bad... too much tremolo for my taste :/ And the first part ist played far too fast, this should be slowly ... aaargh sorry but... no. Just no.

  • I love Erika!!!amazing coloratura!!!

  • A new star in the Mozartean heaven- at least to,me, what creative singing she can do!

  • If Erika's looks could kill Sarastro would be dead!!

  • meravigliosa a dir poco

  • Exceptional. Quite beautiful.

  • precioso tono!!

un bello color de voz acompañado por una belisima cantante... Un excelente aporte, de verda maravilloso!

  • brava!

  • not bad, but she can't be compared with Damrau.

Ahora, medio perdida.

  • LOL!!!! Why does she look so CRAZY!! I know im not the only one who sees it!!

  • the highest note is a bit weak, and i'm not sure is completely right...

  • erika is sooo sexy! like damrau is :)

  • mmm.. el Fa se quedó un poco bajo

  • Sip... :-( Se quedó en un ...

  • She is as beautyful as her voice! I love her singing!!!

  • I'm proud of her. She is one of the greatest high sopranos in the world - and she is hungarian too :)

  • She acomplishes to portray the sweetnes of a mother whose daugther has been abducted like nobody else does.

  • If the piece was slower, i wonder if she could keep her same pace, rather than the racecar that the conductor is currently driving. However, a great piece nonetheless.

Nothing compared to the ultimately-rare recording of Karin Ott, but a welcome rendition for the masses who need a quick youtube fix.

  • I love Erika Miklosa's voice so much. But, I will have to say Diana Damrau is the best Queen of the Night.

  • But Erika is the most beautiful almost ;)

  • She is good, but she has to allow her diaphragm's moving, for that would make her notes sound a bit stronger and a bit more sure.

And if my english isn't good, forgive me, but I never studied english before and I'm Brazilian.

  • i think she's absolutely wonderful!

i have a recording of the Magic Flute with her (it's my favourite) and it's great seeing her performing it :)

    thank you very much

  • it's called "Zum Leiden" and not "Zum Lieden"...

  • Sorry...

  • oh, no problem :) was just trying to help^^

  • When she was young, she did not like the classical music as I did. She wanted to become an decatlon atletic champion, but she bore an sport accident and set up her sport carrier.

She went to sing in wedding cerebrations for money and an classical song teacher discovered her talent accidentaly in an wedding performance.

  • Pardon!

    "wedding celebrations"

    "gave up her sport carrier"

  • what a good high'f.....

  • most convincing performance of this aria i've seen thus far.

  • Whoa! What a beautiful lady! And she sings very well indeed!

  • ancora devo sentire un Fa fatto bene bene...

  • perfetta!

  • WELL DONE, BRAVA!!!

Those coloratura runs were very impressive, and that high F took the whole house down!!!

  • WELL DONE, BRAVA!!!

Those coloratura runs were very impressive, and that high F took the whole house down!!!

  • definitely, this aria belongs to Dessay

as much as Der Holle Reich belongs to Damrau

  • Hmm...I never thought of it that way. and I think your absolutly right! :)

  • I know Natalie's F is impeccable in this aria. I don't care that people say she has bad technique, her voice is beautiful and she rocks my socks off.

  • Her voice control is amazing. Her voice is very beautiful but very unique to many other singers I've listened to. It's no wonder she has performed this role nearly 300 times and all over the world.

  • i think man that the coloratura's part is the best in her, the stacato in the F it's perfect, she is a coloratura but must to get some german lessons...

  • you must get some italian lessons:

    "staccato" with double c!!!

  • oh no dear,i'm in youtube, not in the stage,so you must give some german lesson's to Erika Miklosa, she need it more than me...

  • Terrible. Please listen "Durch sie ging all mein Glueck verloren" part. The first and second "verloren" are terrible. Also, the last part which her voice is high, her voice is not enough strong. And is she colouratura soprano? I don't think so.

  • Brava! Bravissima!

  • This is actually really awful. Terrible interpritation of this aria, I feel like she doesn't even have a clue what it's about.

    She's pretty though :/

  • Actually, I have performed in two different productions of this opera and I think she nails it! But you're right. She is pretty.

  • From 3:18 from amazing to purely magical...

  • her eyes frighten me...

  • Well, the Queen of the Night is supposed to be a pretty scary character (at least, one can portray her that way), and I think that the amount of expression she puts into her singing is amazing!

  • Just perfect...anyway this is not her best interpretation, the one directed dy abbado is much better! Love her though...

  • q mujer tan guapa y q bonita voz!

  • she has really arresting eyes

  • She is soooooooo Pretty

  • wow she looks like shania twain...Glad she does not sound like her though. Amazing.

  • She was so amazing at the Met (in german as well as english)....she's lovely as well. A nice big smile. Gave me an autograph, which was funny because seconds before a lady asked for one and Miklosa said "I'm sorry. Not now".

  • Amazing! I gave her 9.25 this time. No matter believe (like) it or not, slim singer can also sing coloratura perfectly.

  • roberta peters was slim and she's my preferred coloratura
