There is no grief, there is no sorrow... sorry but I think she doesn't make the role, although her technique is not bad... too much tremolo for my taste :/ And the first part ist played far too fast, this should be slowly ... aaargh sorry but... no. Just no.
If the piece was slower, i wonder if she could keep her same pace, rather than the racecar that the conductor is currently driving. However, a great piece nonetheless.
Nothing compared to the ultimately-rare recording of Karin Ott, but a welcome rendition for the masses who need a quick youtube fix.
When she was young, she did not like the classical music as I did. She wanted to become an decatlon atletic champion, but she bore an sport accident and set up her sport carrier.
She went to sing in wedding cerebrations for money and an classical song teacher discovered her talent accidentaly in an wedding performance.
Her voice control is amazing. Her voice is very beautiful but very unique to many other singers I've listened to. It's no wonder she has performed this role nearly 300 times and all over the world.
i think man that the coloratura's part is the best in her, the stacato in the F it's perfect, she is a coloratura but must to get some german lessons...
Terrible. Please listen "Durch sie ging all mein Glueck verloren" part. The first and second "verloren" are terrible. Also, the last part which her voice is high, her voice is not enough strong. And is she colouratura soprano? I don't think so.
Well, the Queen of the Night is supposed to be a pretty scary character (at least, one can portray her that way), and I think that the amount of expression she puts into her singing is amazing!
Estoy de acuerdo con Manutortosa. Tiene un picado bastante puro pero le cuesta un poco apoderarse del contra-fa. Pero aún así, maravillosa, una gran reina de la noche.
She was so amazing at the Met (in german as well as english)....she's lovely as well. A nice big smile. Gave me an autograph, which was funny because seconds before a lady asked for one and Miklosa said "I'm sorry. Not now".

Subscribo totalmente el comentario de briantelekinetic. Era una MAGNÍFICA cantante de coloratura. Ahora, medio perdida.

She acomplishes to portray the sweetnes of a mother whose daugther has been abducted like nobody else does.

I love Erika Miklosa's voice so much. But, I will have to say Diana Damrau is the best Queen of the Night.

But Erika is the most beautiful almost ;)

She is good, but she has to allow her diaphragm's moving, for that would make her notes sound a bit stronger and a bit more sure.
And if my english isn't good, forgive me, but I never studied english before and I'm Brazilian.

i think she's absolutely wonderful!
i have a recording of the Magic Flute with her (it's my favourite) and it's great seeing her performing it :)

I know Natalie's F is impeccable in this aria. I don't care that people say she has bad technique, her voice is beautiful and she rocks my socks off.

She's pretty though :/

Fantástica pero rozando el limite en el sobreagudo, mucho mejor para otros papeles. Mi elección para esta aria es Edda Mosser, sin duda.
