I don't know if Elvis hated making these films but you know what, I really enjoy watching this good, clean fun over anything Hollywood can throw at me today.
I actually like Clambake's soundtrack and the movie, I think it's very underrated. This song isn't good at all compared to his best work but it fits in with the movie. I think some people that say this song sucks or whatever aren't viewing it right. This is a kid song and if you think of it compared to other kid songs, it's not too bad.
Poor Elvis..he hated doing this film..he did it purely because he was under contract and he did'nt have much choice and he needed the money as he had just bought a ranch for over half a million dollars in 1967 today that would have been around $20 million ..Elvis was a great Entertainer ..please don't judge him on these films ..he hated doing them too ..infact he made every excuse to get out of doing this film .

@Guitarman092004 Well Elvis would be pleased that you loved his singing and liked the song but if you watch the film Clambake Elvis did'nt care for doing t and it shows..he was bored out of his head and depressed but being a pro he went through with his contractual obligations
Elvis was physically sick and made every excuse to get of this film after reading the script..he resented that paramount and 20th century fox were using the profits from his films to finance classic films.for the studios
