This is really good. Angela is not my favorite soprano, but is sounds really nice, even with the few notes that were not exactly... eh, it was nice. I love it:D. But I do not change my Callas.

Perhaps at that time Opera was too emotional for me. It brought out feelings in me I never thought I had & I cried so hard & I felt so much better! :-)

I never really appreciated Opera! I loved classical music, but the more I got to know & understand the heart throbbing feelings, singing, language, etc. I fell in love with Opera & will love it forever!

These are the most difficult 10 minutes in "Tosca" for maintaining the high musical and dramatic intensity of the rest of the work - but this version accomplishes the task beautifully! Even with the church bells ringing during their final kiss - suggesting future marital bliss. And these two make a beautiful couple.

As husband and wife teams go, they're pretty good. Tebaldi, Carras is a pick em, I'll give a slight edge to Tebaldi. Corelli was the finest Cavaradossi. He sang Cavaradossi with both of them

the best studio recording of tosca that will ever exist is DelMonaco and Tebaldi ,you'll find it easy to agree.

All agree that the best Tosca recording ever is the 1953 de Sabata recording with Callas, Gobbi and di Stephano on EMI.

Callas had a big pitch wobble ,she just did not difine pitch, an instramentalist would never be allowed such faults

Callas never had a "big pitch wobble", such a thing does not exist. She did develop a wobble around 1959. But she NEVER sang off pitch.
