@xMandalorex you can't get 22 hours, that seems impossib.e 22 hours of web surfing or documenting? or excel? how many hours on a 6 cell? i mean really, not what's stated but tested because i really want one but worried about battery

why impossbiel? netbooks these days can get 15+ hours.... and a 9-cell in this thinkpad would give you 22 hours ONLY if your checking emails wbe surfing and thats it.....

like i said look it up its been confirmed to reach around 19/20 hours 22 is the reported mark.

@xMandalorex report marks are not to be taken seriously. everyone who has a 6 cell i hear gets 4-5 hours on light activity and 7-8 on 9 cell. do you even own a t410? because 22 hours is way too much for a price like this. do you have any proof other than articles? such as a real review? Because I want one but I'm able to settle for 4-5 hours on web surfing, excel, etc.

my brother owns one, and if you look on the thinkpad site/forums reports state 20 hours min max 22?

my brother has got 18 out of it so far.

you really need to look on the thinkpad forums because i said 20/22 hours is POSSIBLE if its just web surfing email checking ? bluetooh WiFi has to be off etc thats the only way to get so many hours..... if a netbook can get 15 hours then why not this bad boy? i my self have seen 18 hours with my own eyes

yes 9 cell man.. and... if you plan to take your laptop out and about i really think you should get a 6-cell... you'll easily get 7/10 hours if your doing absic things.. because 9-cell is massive lol... sticks out nasty looking thing lol.

@xMandalorex I keep hearing people say they only get 5-6 hours max. I might later on buy a ultrabay so I can take out my dvd drive and put in another 3 cells, it's unnoticable.

yes, it boots up fast but it's not a reason (for me at least) to switch from t400 to t410, and it's still pretty expensive. need to wait.

You get more vertical resolution. On a 4:3 14 inch ThinkPad we got 1400x1050.

With the 16:10 you get 1440x900. With 16:9 you get something like 1366x768

Vertical space is way more important then horizontal. With these wide-wider-lowest screens you keep scrolling vertical, a big PITA.

Way better. You loose only 40 pixels wide, and gain 150 vertical, where you need them.

Maybe it boots faster than other notebooks, but it's not fast. 10 + 22 = 32 seconds for Windows to show the desktop (which doesn't mean everything's loaded). Linux is faster. A lot. :-)

Wow, I was going to buy the T400 few weeks ago and suddnly thought: hold on lets wait for CES & see what's new. Glad I did. BTW he says it's available on the website now. Oh no it isn't! I tried to order one & it ain't there!
