The original intro is a horn, perhaps a clarinet, I'm not sure. The intro is played a capella. Since I can't emulate a horn on the piano, I could hear a mandolin, in my head, in place of the horn. And that instrument is generally double-picked, thus the repeated notes that I played for the intro.

Thank you for your comments. Was it hard playing this piece? I had to practice playing it as it is a style I don't normally play. Most players would play it using a lot of left-hand bass and chords with mostly melody in the right hand. I played the bass with my left and the chords and melody I incorporated with my right hand. Getting the 3 count of the waltz to sound right using this style was a bit tricky. The end result is a full sound without getting too muddy in the bass range.

Wow! I am happy to know you want to play, again. Have you considered getting an 88 key, weighted hammer action MIDI controller (the least expensive) or synthesizer? I have a controller that hooks into my computer and use software to get the various sounds.

The Superman Theme? It would take considerable time to arrange it to sound good on a piano. John Williams, the composer, is fantastic. I play other works of his such as Exodus and Schindler's list.

I am not happy with my performances or my audio quality. The sound quality is terrible because I am using the built-in mics on the camcorders. I have some ideas on how to make mistake free videos with professional quality audio and will be doing that in the near future.

Hi, and thanks for the compliment. The piano is really a MIDI controller and makes no sound at all. I have a foot pedal hooked up that acts like a hold pedal (just like a regular piano). The other connection is MIDI to USB into a computer which generates the sound in realtime synthesis.
