@ThePaintballdude123 the only one that i can recall that can hit a target at 100 yards is a Remington 870 with a magnifier. And its not consistently hitting them, its by chance. Trust me i live in Oklahoma, we fire alot of firearms out here. shotguns cant hit a target at 100 yards consistently.

@D8Y1L3A9N3 It really just depends on what you're shooting out of the shotgun and what kind of choke tube you're using. If I want to shoot slugs out of a rifled shotgun I could easily shoot 100+ yards with very decent accuracy. When hunting duck I shoot 3" shells with 2 shot and a modified choke and have a hard time killing anything outside of 40 yards, but I could easily put on a XXX full choke and shoot for 70+ yards with shot. The shotgun you're firing doesn't matter, it's what's in it.

@1111halofan A choke tube is a small tube that screws into the end of a shotgun barrel that constricts the shot pattern to make it spread more or less. A XXX full choke is the tightest choke possible. A slug is a round fired from a shotgun that is basically a bullet instead of the regular pattern of small BB's. A rifled barrel is one with spiraling grooves down it, just like is found on a rifle but not usually on a shotgun.
