  • I swear to god, nobody better troll on this video ad dislike it. Masashi and I are good friends, we worked on the Ace Combat Zero and Ace Combat 5 OST's together and I will personally recommend this site AS LONG AS there are less than 5 dislikes. ok?

  • I'm not sure why but for some reason this is reminiscent of a battle theme from final fantasy 10 in some parts

  • @785tight Masashi Hamauzu worked on Finaly Fantasy X with Nobuo Uematsu and Junya Nakano. Aki Kuroda also played the piano for all of the songs on the Final Fantasy X Piano Collection which Masashi Hamauzu had a huge hand in creating.

  • Playing this for a talent show in a few days. I effing love this song!!!!!

  • Everytime Square Enix, you make me lose myself to your music. Best of all, it's always the piano collections that does the trick

  • The sheet music was taken down for violation :( Dang.

  • the site isnt working...

  • Seriously, the beginning to about 0:23 is the whole reason i'm so pissed that my iTunes isn't letting me buy this album yet!

  • Only at half-speed atm and it's still so crazy ;__;

  • Great music for just passing time.

  • OMG the little thing at 0:28 is so hard to play XD

  • This makes me wanna learn piano :)

  • @Peace1ProudCanadian Then learn! I learned piano from Yuna ;D, LOL, i actually learned piano because i was inspired by Final fantasy.

  • its fkn hard!!

  • The file has been deleted :(

  • Fangggg~~~~ ;3

  • Fang :] <321

  • Link to sheets is broken. :(

  • Link is broken ;_;

  • How hard is this piece to play?

  • @wovenv2

I think it´s really hard xD

  • I cannot believe that this ORCHESTRAL piece was made into a piano version...GENIUS!!

  • @mg4820 All orchestral pieces are originally simplifed pieces of music lol.

  • Wow, I didn't even know there was a Piano Collection for FF XIII. xD

  • any musicians who make piano music like this?

  • @nynosix

Yes, but this is a whole different sort of music. They tried to make all these songs so they sort of coincided with the character or scenes personality, so a lot of the music is meant to be a little less substantial and not really meant to be a standalone piece, only an enhancer to video or gameplay your seeing. The difference with final fantasy from many other video games is their music ends up beautiful and still performance worthy whereas other music won't ever get played

  • @ryum99 true. i tried looking at other pianists but they dont really have this kind of music. so yeah final fantasy definately has awesome music to it. i have alot of cds of the music, but for me id much rather listen to the piano versions rather than the orchestra. but sometimes orchestra is good.

  • Hey everybody! Someone happened to scan and upload the Piano Collections FINAL FANTASY XIII Sheet Music Book, and so I thought I go ahead and update the description box with the direct download link that I went ahead and uploaded myself. I put all of the songs in order in PDF format, and yes, all of the songs are included! I just thought that you guys would want to know! I hope you like it! ; )

  • @brownhairbaby01 THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been looking for ff13 sheets ever since the release. Thank youuu!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cheazyos No problem! A lot of people have been looking for them too! What I don't get, is why no one had scanned to book once it was released? Well, I don't know how things turned out that way, but now they're available to everyone, and that's what matters now! I'm glad that you're enjoying the book! Everyone else can rest and be at ease: they don't have to look for the book anymore! : D

  • @brownhairbaby01 Yes for sure. I really do need to just buy the book though considering how much work was put into these songs. They deserve it. Once i'm in Japan...i'll pick it up.

  • @cheazyos Well, that's cool you're going to Japan! That's really cool! Have you been there before? I wonder what it's like over there? Well, if this is your first trip, will you tell me all about it? I've only seen photos and video shots in movies, which aren't that great. : (

  • @brownhairbaby01 THANK YOU :DDD

I've been looking for the sheet music for forever !

    I LOVE YOU <3

  • @amberleechee It's no problem... but I didn't scan the book, so I don't take any credits for creating the files. All I did was put them in a PDF file, and re-uploaded them. But, you're welcome! ; D

  • @brownhairbaby01 That's great news!! Thank you! :D

  • @brownhairbaby01 Hey, thanks so much for the upload! Do you perhaps know where you could still purchase this book of sheet music? Thanks again!!

  • @McPoogle ...Yeah, I forgot what website it was... I thought it was YesAsia(dot)com, but it's not there. I'll search for the website that has it... hopefully soon. : )

  • @brownhairbaby01 too bad i was too late T.T i really wanted those sheets.

  • I MUST GET THE SHEETS!!! I'm wondering why there are only 10533 views.. O.o It should be like 100 thousand minimum.

  • @TheBenjaminVrenko Totaly agreeeeeeeee mate ;) LUV THIS SONG!!!! Need the sheets aswell ;)

  • I love this :3 man if only I knew how to play the piano >_<

  • this one is better

  • if you want the sheet music you wont be able to get a online version of it but i got mine fine and its great from otaku.co.uk

  • Comment removed

  • :/ Eh, Fang's theme just doesn't translate that well to piano…

  • @Uruya6 I beg to differ...

  • Does anyone know if there will be sheet music for this?!

  • @krissalad hey its you! i thought you played by ear!

  • @fruitsygirl Haha, I know, but I like this arrangement too!

  • @krissalad it's amazing isn't it. don't forget to upload a video once you've got it down :D

  • @fruitsygirl I got it down! But with the sheet music, of course. Check it out! :D

  • @krissalad omg yaaaay. let's check it out then ;)

  • does anybody know when the hell the ff13 piano collection music sheets are coming out or if they are available already??? and possibly for free???

  • in-game, when does fang's theme play other than the cutscene entering pulse?

  • @PA830266 One of the places I've heard of it was when Lightning and the others infiltrated The Plalmecia (in Chapter 9 or 10) to rescue Vanille and Sazh. It plays when you first enter the ship and control Lightning while looking for Vanille and Sazh. There are probably other times it plays, but I'm not sure what other places that plays, if it plays anywhere else.

  • @PA830266 Throughout most of Battleship Palamecia Fang's Theme is playing. Also, in a cutscene before the Eidolon fight with Bahamut in Chapter 10, this music is playing, and then it plays for the last time during the CG cutscene when the party enters Gran Pulse.

  • For the first few seconds, this reminded me of the Hollow Bastion fight theme.

  • Probably my favorite song from the FF13 piano collection.

  • His PSN's ID always sounded girlish to me for some reason. x.x

  • Thanks for having been the first to upload these tracks on Youtube.

    Much appreciated.

  • @Narolfissidia Actually, I may be the first person to upload this soundtrack with a great photo, but I'm not the first person to upload the soundtrack. I would have been the first person if I had visit the iTunes store the day it came out. I didn't know if iTunes was going to have that album for sale or not. I even had to make a request for that album to appear in the store, but I was a little late. But overall, I'm glad you're satisfied with my videos! I appreciate it so very much! ; )

  • @brownhairbaby01

Well, your videos were the first ones I found in all of this fanfest with fanmades piano tracks so I guess it's worthy to be pointed out despite yeah, there were two others Youtubers who uploaded them before you. =p

Silvagunner might upload them too I believe but I personally hope Moonravi will because she is the only one who enhances tracks to let them have a better quality.

  • @Narolfissidia I gotta be honest, I don't believe that moonravi actually "[Enhances]" the audio quality. I've viewed moonravi's videos, and there aren't anything different between my videos and moonravi's videos. All the difference is, is that moonravi puts "[Enhanced]" at the end of every video, when the audio quality is the same. If you can convince me otherwise, then feel free to. Maybe you can even tell me how moonravi "[Enhances]" the audio quality, because I wouldn't have any idea...

  • @brownhairbaby01

I saw you posted on her page. She already revelaed how she enhanced actually:

"I've had a few inquiries about how I produce my videos. I use FFMPEG via command line:

    ffmpeg -loop_input -shortest -i "image.bmp" -i "audio.mp3" -y -vcodec libx264 -r 1 -s hd720 -aspect 16:9 - threads 0 -b 2500k -acodec copy "output.mp4"

I can guarantee you there is a difference between her videos and the others. It's particularly significant with the track "Fate" from the Nier's Ost.

  • @Narolfissidia I can only tell the difference when you watch her videos in HD. Don't you have to use a program to enhance the audio? That's what I would like to know, and that's also what I meant by how she enhances her songs. Those videos you sent me sound alike, but once I viewed them in HD, that completely changed everything. Now I understand the difference, and maybe one day, I'll learn how to enhance them, and maybe even upload them with download links or something. But overall, thanks! ; )

  • @brownhairbaby01

Well as written in my previous post, she uses the program "FFMPEG" through command line to enhance.

Pleased to have helped you btw. Your playlist worths it, at least: I keep listening to it since yesterday now.

  • @Narolfissidia I thought that FFMPEG was a type of format, I didn't know it was a program. I already tried to use the program, but I don't really know how to. So I downloaded Audacity instead, maybe even hoping I could enhance my own versions or something. I don't know, but I'm still researching what format is the best quality, and how to get the best quality in music. Thank you very much for helping me out! And I'm glad you enjoy my videos! ; )

  • @brownhairbaby01 I left an explanation on your channel that should clear things up a bit. FFmpeg is just an audio/video library for creating the actual files I upload; the audio is complete before that is even used. I only use ffmpeg for video compression and muxing the audio with the video into an mp4 container. And I'm not a "she" last time I checked :-p

  • @brownhairbaby01

    A third party version: /watch?v=QrgEoov-RBc

    Her version: /watch?v=SJjmdGW5yR0

Try to use a different loudspeaker maybe.

  • @brownhairbaby01 well i don't know about piano tracks, but listening to songs like Born Anew or Fighting Fate from ffxiii ost, there is a very clear difference to me (I usually rip the audio from some of his videos and put them on my ipod). Certain instruments and beats are much harder to hear in the original while in the enhanced they are not at all overshadowed by the vocals.

  • @iasted I know that now. Enhanced versions are a lot different when you view them in HD. At least they are when I viewed moonravi's videos. I was very surprised by the difference in the audio quality. I'll have to experiment with that for a while, and maybe I'll even upload them with download links or something. So thanks for letting me know! ; )

  • @brownhairbaby01 That is because HD videos on youtube have double the audio bitrate of SD videos and the enhancements become harder to notice as you decrease the bitrate of the signal. 360/480p videos have 128 kbps VBR AAC audio and 720/1080p have 256 kbps VBR AAC audio-- all videos above 240p have sampling rates of 44.1khz as well. With HD you're hearing everything that is above the compression threshold of 128 kbps audio ( up to 256 kbps).

  • @moonravi What about when someone uploads an HD video with 320 kbps MP3 song already made with the video? Does it still only go up to 256 kbps when you view the video in HD? And sorry about calling you a "she". It was Narolfissidia's fault. Narolfissidia was the one who called you a she, so I assumed you were a she. Sorry for the mix up, and for judging your videos. I actually like "Song of the Ancients / Fate" video now, since Narolfissidia gave me a comparison. So thanks for telling me! ; )

  • @brownhairbaby01 Don't worry about the gender mix-up; I thought it was amusing. The answer to your question is: yes, all audio is converted to 256 kpbs VBR under AAC compression for HD videos on youtube even if it is of higher quality originally.

  • @moonravi That is so bogus! I've been using 320 kbps for my HD videos for my other channel, and they're limited? Bogus, I say! Damn you YouTube! How are people supposed to enjoy 320 kbps when you limit those videos to 256 kbps!? All that work for nothing... oh well, at least people can still download those songs in 320 anyways. Okay, I'm done yelling at YouTube now. Moonravi, thanks so very much for everything. I appreciate it very greatly! ; )

  • @iasted You're right: solo piano tracks have little yield when enhanced. But I've had so many requests for the FFXIII piano tracks that I'll probably enhance them despite the fact that there isn't a tremendous difference in general.

  • @moonravi that's quite nice of you, but if I could throw out a very worthwhile request it would be promised pain from xenosaga iii ost!

  • @iasted Xenosaga is on my list and it is a personal favorite of mine as well (all three of them) so you can expect that eventually. I'm in the middle of moving and haven't had much time to sit and remaster anything so it'll be a little while longer before I make any uploads.
