Well I've visited cancer wards and this commercial tells the truth. I think all schools should have a program in place where kids caught smoking have to visit a cancer ward and talk to the patients. Only then will they realize how serious this is.

But industry makes cigarretes with substances like benzene and tar, which turns you in an addict and benzene causes all kinds of cancer (but not every cancer is caused by the benzene obviusly).
But then again, why against the industry? Supply depends on demand. What's more, This industry Warns its customers that its prouct kills. Yet, people buy it. Who would give up such a succesful business? I woundn't. And my conscience would be clean.

This is false, I'm older then this girl and prettier =*) (even though I'm a male), anyway I have been smoking on and off for 40 years and my teeth are better than most people that don't smoke, I have never had heart problems, and I don't look like a zombie =D. My trick? I only smoke about 1-4 a day sometimes more if I'm socializing sometimes none for a couple days or week.
I'm not saying it's good to smoke because it's not but people should be educated, not lied to.

This is no makeup, I worked in Home Health, and one of my clients had his whole jaw missen, and the tip of his nose was gone. I worked with him about three months and he died.

These patient's would be at home, on pain medication, ventilators, at hospital, in hospices or probably already dead. You don't see them around because they are often very ill and probably too embarrassed to let people see them.
The bottom line: smoking is horrible, and it contributes to many MANY cancers and diseases. So just Quit.

Well I've visited cancer wards and this commercial tells the truth. I think all schools should have a program in place where kids caught smoking have to visit a cancer ward and talk to the patients. Only then will they realize how serious this is.

@frozenKmadness It's not about smoking guy, it's about the industry of cigarretes that is killing people...people used to smoke pure tobacco and they reached 90 years and kept smoking and did not die of cancer. But industry makes cigarretes with substances like benzene and tar, which turns you in an addict and benzene causes all kinds of cancer (but not every cancer is caused by the benzene obviusly).

I don't need tobacco, when I have some herb, which I use in lower doses. Better think about car-, industry- and of course plane exhausts in connection to cancer and other diseases. ;)

This is false, I'm older then this girl and prettier =*) (even though I'm a male), anyway I have been smoking on and off for 40 years and my teeth are better than most people that don't smoke, I have never had heart problems, and I don't look like a zombie =D. My trick? I only smoke about 1-4 a day sometimes more if I'm socializing sometimes none for a couple days or week.
I'm not saying it's good to smoke because it's not but people should be educated, not lied to.

@Blindmanstaring These aren't LIES. If you smoke, you're not guaranteed to get sick, it just increases your chances A LOT. Smokers always talk about their grandfather or a friend's cousin's girlfriend's dad or ANYBODY that they know who smoked for years and years and are still perfectly fine, just to have an excuse to smoke. You MIGHT not get sick but why pay money to increase your chance of getting ANY form of cancer or another illness and then die young but in an often slow and painful manner?

I like smoking and yes 'I will pay to die' but who said we are getting out of this world alive, there's many other things I would die from before smoking. I get stressed out sometimes so I have a smoke and I can clear my mind. I know people that are stressed out that don't smoke and they take drugs like anti-depressants.

@Blindmanstaring The sentence "Smoking causes oral cancer" may be seen as exaggerated because it seems like it ALWAYS leads to oral cancer, but it's just stating it's one more type of cancer that you have an increased chance of getting. I have never touched cigarettes or drugs. When I'm stressed, I listen to good music or maybe yell at someone a little. It's your choice to smoke or not but at least be honest about the fact that it's a crap choice and the "benefits" to NOT outweigh the costs.

^inaccurate. smoking has ALWAYS been bad for the lungs. the carbon monoxide component of cigs have 100x more affinity to the hemoglobin component in your red blood cells that should normally carry oxygen. so not only are you scarring and damaging the tissue of the lung alveoli with the chemicals (tar) you inhale - the effects of which you will start to feel in a few years as people develop asthma, airway restriction and chronic coughing- but you are also depriving your cells and tissue of oxygen

People can develop cancer just because they think they will... and the stats are certainly not inaccurate .. same thing with meat .. countries that eat mostly meat have much less cancer, barely any in some cases. Yet, they tell people to eat less meat. They depend on advice from WHO .. which is nuts, because it's financed by private corporations. Unfortunately, most of our doctors won't wake up.

@immehgen and why are you speaking as though I will have problems? Their have been no such health problems in my mostly smoker family. We are very strong, on both sides and I'd have to be pretty unlucky to end up with a problem. Look up the new studies that have been done about genetics and lung cancer I think it was.. as for asthma, have you ever seen a smoker develop asthma who didn't have any in their family? Come on.. that must be pretty rare or I'd know PLENTY of people who would have it

@immehgen I'm not recommending smoking, but don't exaggerate .. it is not any worse then eating sugar or driving a car (dangerous fumes in car and also released from car) Actually, driving a car is far worse, if you do some research. I hope you don't drive a car if you don't want to have all the problems that you have mentioned.
The only reason I want to stop, is the money, not because of anti-smoking hype, which makes me want to smoke more.

Usually you don't just randomly see people getting oral cancer, its either you have high blood pressure or cavity or some oral infection in which smoking feeds upon, resulting in oral cancer. And seeing as how the majority of people tend to have oral issues/cavities or gingivitis, i see how this happens.

Well, for one, such patient's are unlikely to be walking down the street so everyday folks like you can poke a finger and say 'hey what's that?' These patient's would be at home, on pain medication, ventilators, at hospital, in hospices or probably already dead. You don't see them around because they are often very ill and probably too embarrassed to let people see them.
The bottom line: smoking is horrible, and it contributes to many MANY cancers and diseases. So just Quit.
