@GuitarKid581 There are different brands of pastels. I use Schmincke soft artist pastels. There may be slight differences in pigmentation, tones, and workability, but as long as you have soft pastels, you should do fine!
@GuitarKid581 Thank you! yes, to get the dust for stars and galaxies, I scratch with my fingernails, or if I got small pieces of crayon, I just crumble them between my fingers.
@brownmommy13 Thanks again! I don´t use special pastel paper. The problem is, that it often has some structure in it, wich diturbes th painting - specially, if you paint nebulae. I use regular black coloured paper with a smooth surface, but you can also use black drawing - or very fine sand paper.
The pastels are soft pastel crayons (quite expensive, but very easy to work with).
@psychodelicdragon Thank you very much. There will be at least one more, this year. But after an exhibition on Halloween weekend, I´m part of - or rather my work is...
Rafa this drawing is terrific, wonderful. I don't know how you can get the cluster of star so well done. Believe me I tied hard when I was drawing the moon because first instead of the moon it was supposed to be a planet but I didn't get it right so I turned into a moon lol, but I still want to do it like this, I want to draw a planet!
@ghap4a Just keep on trying. It´s really not hard to get them right. And for the planet: It´s not that different than a moon (exxept, you wanna draw an earth-like landscape - I would have problems with that, too!
ive looked up soft pastel crayons and i get sent to "Quartet Alphacolor soft pastels" are those correct? thanks =]

@NoFunNoS Dankeschön. Du zeichnest mit Bleistift? Würd ich gern seh´n.
Das mit der Kreativität hat auch seine Nachteile, da es relativ lange dauert, neue Ideen zu bekommen.

@jjavengg I know, I always take a look at the channels, when people write comments or messages.
I learned a few words in spanish for my vacation in Punta Cana, but most of it, I forgot. :(
