@fatezor I understand your question but I don't know other islands that Japan has issues over with China & Russia, at least for Dokdo(South Korea), the islands do not have inhabitants. Dokdo island is just bunch of rocks but under it, there is a hudge gas deposit. This is more about territory issue as well as hidden natural resource issue(gas deposit). Right now there are approximately 2 residents living in Dokdo along with a group of Korean police soldiers.

That Takeshima belongs to Japan was decided by the San Francisco Treaty and its appendix Rusk Documents. There is no proof that Korea controlled the island. For evidence there is no Korean map which depicted Takeshima correctly. Korea invaded Takeshima ignoring the San Francisco Treaty in 1953.

Japan is for sure very weak militarily compare to China but Russia, but it is an island that is very very easy to defend, and it has the full capability to build up offensive military power literally over-night. @fatezor I understand your question but I don't know other islands that Japan has issues over with China & Russia, at least for Dokdo(South Korea), the islands do not have inhabitants. Dokdo island is just bunch of rocks but under it, there is a hudge gas deposit. This is more about territory issue as well as hidden natural resource issue(gas deposit). Right now there are approximately 2 residents living in Dokdo along with a group of Korean police soldiers.

That Takeshima belongs to Japan was decided by the San Francisco Treaty and its appendix Rusk Documents. There is no proof that Korea controlled the island. For evidence there is no Korean map which depicted Takeshima correctly. Korea invaded Takeshima ignoring the San Francisco Treaty in 1953.

I found that Korean scholars admit Mr Lee(the president during Korean war) strongly insisted Dokdo island refusing San Francisco Treaty. USA sent Rusk Documents twice but South Korea(it was united Korea at that time) refused. But the funny thing is UN asked South Korean gov't, not Japanese gov't if they could use Dokdo as a training place for UN soldiers.

south korea is a tiny country, about 1/2 the size of japan. yet it has a large powerhouse economy, one of the most technologically advanced militaries, and the most popular asian entertainment system in all of eastern asia. LG, samsung, hyundai. ever heard of them? japanese and chinese companies can't even compete with them in the industrial world. you're the fucking idiot, dumbass. and if you try to argue with me, i'm majoring in international affairs specialized in east asia at UC san diego.
