  • Having been a member of quite a few racing leagues in my time, I'll just call BULLSHIT on most "I do this for free with blah blah"... Maybe YOU did this for free, but if you're in any serious league, there *IS* someone paying for that championship stats and schedule website, for that ventrilo server and for that 24/24 race and practice server hosting. -- Either start paying your share or find a generous benefactor like you used to in those other games. There ARE such people in iRacing too.

  • Oh god how many are whinging because this costs something! :D Seriously... get a job you poor lazy nerds. Oh well, if you are kid without money, that's different. Do your school decently, and money will find you. Then you are grown enough too, to realize this ain't expensive at all, and that to get the best it takes lots of money to develope. All sims would still be like ISI-fakeshit sims, if people just buy it once and Devs run away with moneys. That's not developing... it's copypasting old.

  • Dang he has over 4,000 credits

  • ya,..we know it cost money to develop a game, what IRacing 2.0 does not realize is that given the option, people would host the game for free on their own servers like we do with LFS. Do they math $50.00 for a game and a million people buy it, 50Mil would cover a lot of development cost.

To get what I get the same from IRacing as I do from LFS, I would have to spend $600.00 vs $50(cars and tracks), pay a monthly fee and still not be able to host without paying.

    Not GetNRRDone iRacing!

  • This is a normal feature of papyrus nascar games. Now they call it 'tournament' and charge more for it.

  • Jeez guys, if everyone participating in your tournament paid 10cents i'm sure it would cover the cost. Nothing in this world is free. It costs money to develop and host these features for you guys, if you stop and think about what you are actually doing you might realise it is well worth it!

  • This is BS, having to spend money to host a race. LFS and Nascar Heat allow you to host for free. Iracing is total waste of money. you have to buy cars, tracks, now you have to pay for hosting....This is total bullshit!!!! This is why it is not catching on in the on-line racing world.

  • @MrZippy2112 are you drunk....its catching on big time

  • More paying way to go iracing... (fail)

  • Gosh so complicated + payment too...

  • Amazing, I've always thought that having to buy a gift certificate then redeem it to get some credits to host a race was barmy. Now I've seen it demo'd it just confirms how naff it really is. For goodness sake, hosted racing has been around for ages now and this method of getting credits has annoyed us for ages. Why can't iRacing just change the website (come on that's easy - it's just eCommerce - not game engine changing!) to allow credits to be purchased at the time of hosting????

  • GIF sertificate to add credits? CustID in address line to find driver?

Professional product must not look like student-ware!

Please, be AGILE, fix bugs and make INTUITIVE solutions.

Thanks for the howto videos. Please make them before releases ;)

  • now that's huge, iracing!

    way to go!

congrats on the new tournament tool.

that's going to add great value to the sim.

  • Why would you choose to add drivers to a tournament by their custom ID #? That is a pain in the ass if you want to add multiple drivers. Why didn't you just allow them to type in their name or something? Makes no sense..

  • @lilbro209

This is an early release for tourney racing. They said that they'll be improving on it a lot from this point.

  • Did you see his credit balance was $4147.12? How sweet would that be?

  • @JohnieReb I jizzed. I think he DOES get paid in credits, lol.

  • this is soo realistic! Too bad it costs so much

  • @downwiththehabs the two go hand in hand

  • you have a lot of credits haha :)

  • I really wish I had the money for this simulation =(

  • @NITRO2494

It's relatively inexpensive! There are plenty of promotions right now and you can definitely stay busy in the rookie races and D class races without spending much money! Would you like a promo code?

  • @fugudacat

Dependes. is it a code that's reset after an X amount of time or is it set in stone cause I may not need it YET. Problem is I think I could only afford the 3 months for $12 =( College is comin up in about a year for me so I'm not sure if I could keep paying month after month. It's hard when your 17 and have a passion for these kinds of things =(

  • @fugudacat

But ya I think I would like the promo code

  • Get in on a coupon. I did and then when your time is up, they send you another coupon soon. I race for 3 months for only $12.

  • Sean do you get paid in credits??

  • Comment removed

  • Sean is rather loaded with the credits now isn't he lol

  • iRacing 2.0, and you recorded the screen with a video camera? P

  • Will you be able to drag and drop drivers to the grid and not just pre-determined alternatives?

  • ITS SEAN SIFF, LIKE A BOSS

  • Who Cares! :P and if i get iracing i wanna try this :)
