I was going to by the Lansky Diamond System with the extra Sapphire and Ultra Fine and Serrated Stone Hones which would take me close to $100.00+ with shipping. After watching this video and the Darex Video, I think this is the way to go for me. Look so easy to use. Just a question, what do I need to shapen the othere side of a serrated knife or do I need to sharpen the other side of a serrated knife?
you all realize how terribly bad these kind of sharpening devices are for your knives ...right. get a stone and take a couple crap knifes and teach yourself the proper way to maintain your knives. There are plenty of videos on here that show you the proper way... it just takes some time and practice
Great question coldvermonter. The answer is yes, this is sharpening the blade using a down and upside. However, our extensive research shows that this will not affect the sharpness factor. Should you have further questions please don’t hesitate to contact our Technical Support Department at 1.800.418.1439.
@DAREXLLC This technique actually puts a "curved" edge on my softer steel blades (8cr13mov for instance). I have to flip the unit around so it hits both sides in the "down" motion.
We are glad to hear that you like The Knife and Tool Sharpener. Unfortunately, at this time The Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener is only manufactured to support 110v.

Neat device. Is there a version which works at 220V instead of the 110 voltage you use in America?
