Well... i see no absolute effort in playing the game at all for this review... You don't know the controls of this game which im not even gonna bother to explain, you didn't see much of the game, the game gets really hard very quick and you can die very easily later on, of course if you just played the game for 5 minutes it would be easy for anyone.

The game did seem like an acid trip gone bad inside a pyramid but there were a lot of games from this era that didn't make much sense. The game was rather repetetive, the music got annoying, and the graphics/monsters were used over and over. However, the gameplay & controls were decent and the later levels were damn challenging. It also was a fairly original game for the side scrolling genre. This game wasn't the best out there, however, it was far from being terrible.

A button = Jump. pressing A again will stop you in mid jump so you can control the height of your jump. tapping A button rapidly as you fall will make you hover slowly to the ground.

B = uses the coins you collect from red chests. (the coins with jack's face)

use 1 coin = blue jack allowing u to open OJ chests.

2 coins = orange jack you can open chests by simply touching them.

3 coins = green jack turns all enemies into coins. collect them to get rid of them.

It had excellent control and a decent design compared to games of its time. This retard that did the review only played the game for 5 minutes? I have the actual cartridge of this game and in my opinion, it's great. It's easy to play, the controls are great, and that's it. Only bad thing I can say about it is that if you get hit once you die but who cares.

I played through this whole game . You cant tell by what Stan plays, but it is EXTREMELY repetitive on every front , using the same rooms over and over again - hell one level consists just of the redundant "bonus" stage plus you never saw that when you pick up some of the power ups you get a message that says "youre greedy, go to the torture room" where you have to survive more then a minute with enemies constantly trying to rape you .

And the spectacular "ending" , oh.......

This is an arcade game. The point is not to beat it, but to get a higher score than your friends.

Also, have you tried tapping the A button while in the air? Not only does that set a top to the jump arc, but it will also allow you to float through the air.

Also, there's only one lit bomb on screen at a time. These bombs are worth extra points.

Mighty Bomb Jack is a great game if you aren't trying to play it like a sidescroller, since it wasn't made to be one.

Lots of video games in that era used different colors for the floor to distinguish between the stages. It was common back then like road fighter, mario bros, excite bike etc. Putting the game in that perspective, i say its not that bad. Sure the game gets repetitive and the enemies have shit for brains. Even so its fun to jump and collect stuff :)
