Very nice video and thank you for posting and sharing in 720p.
Cockpit noisy?? I don't think so. Anyone who thinks so should fly front seats in a P-Navajo, Beech Duke or a 421 Golden Eagle. By comparison the CJ3 was nearly silent.
What you're hearing on the ground are the avionics cooling fans. The newer Citations that are Collins or Primus equipped have cooling fans that vent through the glare shield. Whenever I shoot video with the camera on the glare shield it picks the fans. If you watch my video "Flying the Citation XLS around Baja" you hear the same fan noise before takeoff.
I am a bit surprised about the background noise. Was that accentuated by the microphone on the camera, or is really that loud in the cockpit? The engines do not seem to be the issue, as the noise is also heard on the ground.
It's probably a bit accentuated. You can wear normal head headsets (not noise canceling) and hear each other speak in the cockpit and in the back of the plane at cruise in a normal speaking voice. I would say it's like driving down the freeway with the windows down in your car at 50. Not quiet but not annoyingly noisy.
@JuneGriffiths Thank you so much for your reply. Other than the few moments of wide versus telephoto confusion on the short approach, it is a great video. I have an ATP and CE - 500 type rating from many years ago and didn't remember the cockpit being that noisy.
Fantastic vid! Thanks for uploading!

Super fast? It's not a Citation 10 but it is faster than a Helicopter. But yes I was right seat aka ballast.
