One of my favourite N'Young songs too - don't know much about it's history but we always felt it was a kinda 'tip of the hat' to the Everly Brothers - Walk Right Back. Same kinda riff, same key, same register.

one of the cool things about NY is that he does not get into a rut with his song writing. the styles and subjects and melody lines and chord patterns are not the same from song to song. that's a difficult but worthy challenge. he wrote this one just right. you more than did the song justice. very well done, chuck.
