This is a factory 2.2 or 2.5 turbo in this minivan. A few tweaks of some Mopar Performance parts and yes, you can have your Dodge or Chrysler minivan doing this too. There is also a K car and some Dodge Shelby cars doing this too. Search it. Wished I still had my 85 Shelby Charger.

Actually the 2.2 had quite a few options back in the mid 80's for building hp. Some of these little motors were putting out a little over 400 HP using twin turbos, larger injectors, tb's, etc. Tuning is not as new as many people think.

And by the way you are right about the rear drive and there's a way to do the 4 cylinder swapout for the six cylinder, but believe or not there was no adequate room for the v-8 b/c of the fire wall, get it str8 man

Most likely not, 80's Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler minivans could come with a 2.2L or 2.5L turbo, I had an 8.9 2.5L turbo myself. Granted they are slow, but the 2.2's and 2.5 turbos have a large following and can be made pretty fast. I'm sure this is far from the record with one though, trapping 110 is fast, but not record worthy.

it's a 2.5 turbo 2 motor with turbo 3 daytona turbo, manifold, and injectors off the turbo 4. they put these in Maserati's, and Shelby had his own series of chrysler cars with it. There was a huge write up on the old turbo dodge engines in Grassroots Motor Sports a couple of years back, september was the month i think.
