My Dad's favorite Jim Reeves song! Dad's birthday was December 25, so Christmas is especially sentimental for me. Dad's gone, but listening to this makes me feel closer to him and reminds me how grateful I am for having had him for 50 years. So thank you for posting this, Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, Dad.
This song takes me back to my childhood days when my uncles would visit us for Christmas and one of them would cry like a baby whenever Jim Reeves is being played. Poor uncle Edgar. God rest his soul. He made me into a Jim Reeves fan - and this is my ultimate Xmas song! Love it!

Excellent!! Jim Reeves had that smooth voice. I remember my mom playing this song when I was kid. Thank you for posting this and for bringing back those memories of long ago!!
Now THIS is MY favorite Jim Reeves song. My husband and I met when it was first popular, and it was right after Christmas that year we met....so long ago! A very happy memory! Thank you, again, for posting another wonderful Jim Reeves song! :-) God bless!!!
I love this happy little song. I've been playing it often ever since I first heard it as a kid. I love most all the songs that Jim Reeves sang. I even attempt to sing a few of his songs. I wish i could find a background track for this song. I would love to record it. Stop by my channel sometime and ck out my JR covers.
brings back so many childhood memories. How I loved Gentleman Jim's voice. always had a fight with my sister while sharing the radio but we both loved his voice equally. tears in my eyes as my sister is no more and I miss her a lot
One of my favorites. I used to listen to this song on the radio when I was a boy. May Our Lord Jesus cradle you, Jim Reeves, in His Loving Arms forever.
A brilliant song - so happy and warming. Jim was a master and taken far too soon. Heard this song for the first time this year and find myself humming it all the time.
You just keep finding and posting fantastic song after fantastic song, don't you? Now that we have you, what in the world would we ever do without you? Promise you'll NEVER go away!!!
This song makes me as warm and mush inside today, as it did when I was a litlle girl and my sweet Uncle used to sing this to me every time he seen me! Gosh what warm memories! Thank you for this golden memory stirrer.
Jim recorded this song on October 15, 1959, at the same session he recorded his biggest hit, "He'll Have To Go". Initially, Jim and Chet Atkins were going to discard it as too much of a "novelty" song, but Mary Reeves loved it, so she kept the tape. The song was finally released in the winter of 1966-1967, and was avery big posthumous hit for Jim.
Hi, Joan - found my way here too. Jim Reeves is a timeless wonder, isn't he! He has just such a pure, velvety voice. One can only imagine how many more Reeves classics there'd be today if he hadn't been taken long before his time, in that tragic plane crash.
@livingadream2 Can't thank you enough for this beautiful song that stirs up so many wonderful memories of Xmas time. You gotta love Gentleman Jim. "Snowflake" is one of my ultimate favourite songs at this time of year. It has to be played at Christmas. Thanks!
Hi, Joan. You know what a Reeves fan I am and this has always been a winter/Christmas favorite. Love the video and snowflakes would be much preferable to the ice we have here now.
This great favorite of mine reminds my of the beautiful winters I enjoyed as a kid growing up in southwestern Colorado. This is a perfect holiday substitute for all of the more "overplayed" traditional songs.
Thanks for bringing back some good memories; something with which music has no equal.

This is absolutely one of my all-time favorite songs. As I am listening to it now,
it is snowing outside. NOBODY could ever sing or will be able to sing like Jim Reeves.
This is a lovely, sweet song, and, no it is
NOT so gay. It sure sounds better than the
mess filling up the country music airwaves
today.
Long live Jim Reeves and the other wonderful
country stars from his era.
