i can only suggest you to tak a look at a sonic bbe 362 to clean things a little except that fuckin nice tone and riffs i could hear the the blast beats in my head ;)
@Lickmaster123 thanks dude, check my other video with a drum machine for this song it's called shattered pre-production. as for the BBE i've already tried it, and didn't like it. when you play live it's too much high frequencies and it makes the distortion sound like a bee hive.
@samarcev1988 it's completely up to you, i chose the ader because of the way it's constructed in the outside, it's indestructible hahaha, plus it sounds more raw, like it lets everything out thats coming from the amp head. it personal choice and you have to try both of them so you can make a decision. plus i wanted this cabinet foe nearly two years and i finally got it.
Yea Mesa D.R. has a stupid amount of feed back turned up even at a low gain level. I started using a Les Paul and that helped alot vs. S.G. But still no amp even turned up should feed back as much as a Mesa. Over rated amp. Don't get me wront the thing can sound brutal as fuck but tuned up you gots to really play with it. I wanna try that Vader 2 X 15 you have there with the Mesa D.R., what you thinK? Peace!
I thinking of upgrading to a better amp head. I'm gonna use a mesa cab but Im divided between getting a rectifier or a Peavey 6505/5150+. I know that the Peavey is tighter and more clarity with gain and that the rectifier is better toned and warmer when saturated. However I have heard that mesa's lose a lot of clarity when turned up all the way and that although the peavey is not nearly as good as a recto it holds up better at high volumes and is much cheaper. Can U give me your opinion on it?
@megametalmaestro ell i haven't used a mesa before but my friend(other guitarrist) had a mesa double rectifier and sold it and got this same head and he liked it better. he's all into raw guitar distortion, and this one holds up the distortion really well at high volumes with almost no feedback... as for the cabinet check out my band's album, we recorded the guitars with the 6505+ and a mesa cab and it came out pretty good, the volumes we used are the same as when we play live.
@bludgeon666 No pedals, the distortion is from the head. i'm running a 15 bandwidth equalizer and a compressor in the effects loop, and makes it sound better.
@SweeetLoo what is normal??? isn't the way i'm recording a normal way to do it? if i use a high quality mic and stuff is not normal anymore, plus this does't say it high quality audio, and i'm not showing off to actual sound. It says testing ideas!
@shatteredgeo high quality mic??? i dont see it. it should be near the cab. you use a camera mic, and it sounds like shit. buy a sm57 mic or 421. because your stuff is awesome.
@SweeetLoo i'm not using anything. didn't you understand my last comment???i'm not gonna buy any mics just because you think it sounds like shit. i don't give a fuck about your opinion...why don't you buy a mic and send it to me?? LOL
@DB73093 i like a lot of low frequencies with the distortion, and the bigger the speakers the more bass they can handle....they're eminence speakers, stock from vader.
Sweet! I've been waiting for a chance to hear the Vader 2 x 15 by itself.

I'll bet that would go great with my Mesa 4x12... Add some serious tight bass response to what the 4x12 puts out. Might sound real sick together!

sick as hell, thats with no pedal correct?
utookmypancake 6 months ago
@utookmypancake correct, no pedals only an EQ boost
