  • nice beard

  • You say that in fMRI a radioactive tracer injected in the subject... I think that is wrong. Nothing is injected.

  • bro im at uc davis too!

  • I'm still there too! One more quarter to go!!!!

  • I've added a couple of links to the description. They should help in understanding the NMR. Most college physics texts do a fairly good job briefly describing the concepts that are used.

  • hey there!

Can you recommend any book or video and talk yourself just about fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging)...? I need material related to that as much as possible!!!

  • Thanks for the nice video, I am a senior year Petroleum Engineering student (Egypt) and I am doing a research on NMR applications in oil Well Logging, I have especially benefited from the MRI application.

    thanks agian

  • cool, very informative and well put! (=

  • great video, very informative. It did sound soft on speakers but after routing to my headset the words were clear as day. thanks burn

  • hey nice video...i wish u were a little louder...thanks!

  • Hi Dryburn.

I think you're doing a good job! loved your video. Continue to do what you have to. Great job. Just ignore those silly negative comments.

  • Thanks. I read some stuff on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy but this was a good visual. I need to know it to explain how a journal article measured glycogen stores in muscle and this showed it very well.

  • wow, people can be so ignorant. we live in the year 2009 and advancing, can't we grow up already?

  • This was a really helpful and informative video, thanks very much!! :)

  • I rarely ever say that, but you are the definition of a complete 100% moron/idiot/more words "I wish I could say without getting this reply flagged" for many reasons:

    - Go take a class of organic chemistry instead of talking crap

    - asking a terrorist if he is a terrorist is F*** DUMB! It is not like a terrorist will answer an idiot like you with "yes, I am... because I am planing to detonate buildings X with NMR technology on July X, 20XX"

    - you obviously don't know what is NMR which say a lot

  • hey shut up, you just hate america, how does MRN support our troops in Pakistan you idiot???go f a goat osama

  • I live in America. This is called NMR NOT MRN. WTF YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT RETARDED IDIOT!!

And this a post about a chemistry class, not about making bomb/osama/terrorist/Pakistan. Go on wiki or something and read about NMR... oh nvm it is too complicated for you.

  • I pity your stupidity. look at your own government for ur terrorists. go watch zeitgeist. go read a book, or even better, learn to read haha. turn off ur tv dude seriously.

  • yes4me, you are correct. The funny thing is, I'm half black and half white; I have no stereotypical "middle east terrorist" blood in me. There is such a stigma that goes along with the term 'nuclear', in that it is automatically assumed that one is talking about nuclear bombs. This is obviously a consequence of ones miseducation or ignorance about anything nuclear.

  • lol that's the reason why the name MRI is born. People were scared because of the Nuclear word in NMR. It's funny.

  • Hey man hopefully one day people wont by blinded into thinking such stupid crap. Anyway im also doing psychology, first year now. What year are you doing? when do you learn this stuff? im in Australia so probably have a slighty different timeline in when you learn stuff but probably similar to you guys in some way. cheers.

  • I'm a third year student. I initially learned about NMR in physics and studied it a little more almost a year ago in cognitive neuroscience. What classes are you currently taking?

  • Right, well basicly since I was lazy in highschool and now im doing a bridging course into 2nd year of uni via a college its called TAFE here (tertiary academic something) and the course is under health sciences with a major study in psychology. Topics we have covered are: childhood-adolescent development, personality and psychological disorders amongst others. Were doing an assignment on the paradox of choice which is pretty interesting. I'll probably do NRM eventually i guess.

  • aberooye har chi Iranie bordi ba in mozakhrafati ke neveshti! Martikeie kherefte bi savad, to ke hiich etelaii az NMR va Organic Chemistry aslan nadari vase chi comment midi? Mimiri age zer nazani? Hala khube tu U.S. ham zendegi nemikonio enghad dari khaye mali mikoni..

I'M SORRY THAT THIS MISGUIDED MORON JUST RUINED THE VALUE OF THIS STUDENT'S VIDEO BY HIS IRRELEVANT COMMENTS. HE CERTAINLY, DOES NOT REPRESENT IRANIAN MENTALITY.

HIS COMMENT SOUNDS MORE LIKE A JOKE RATHER THAN A SEROUS OPINION.

  • I'm going to have a test in two days, and this is really good. Thanks

  • nice, vid. Perhaps post the links up in the video description? its a bit hard to read in the video. Thanks.

  • Sure, I can do that!

  • Nicely presented.
