Nice watch, nice chinese Unitas clone. First I was suspicious about chinese mechanical movements. But I've got a MM for over a year and the Seagull movement inside is working fantastic really, very accurate, more accurate than some seikos I've got. Looking to buy this Ticino (same seagull 3600 movement inside).

This watches, same as Marina Militare are good deals really, can't compare to a Laco or IWC of course, but for the price , no complaints. Also, it seems that the seagull 3600 (that's the movement actually) is getting better and better. I appreciate my other more expensive watches, but these are really fun to own.
@Sw33pa Because IWC is one of the Five Original Swiss Pilot watch companies, and Steinhart is not. I could have used Stowa, Laco, IWC, Wempe or Lange. Stowa, Laco and IWC are the only ones still making the Pilots, and of those three, IWC is the most famous. I'm sorry you don't approve, but IWC seemed the most logical choice to use for comparison.
Watches are truly an amazing animal. So simple, these days to get time from anywhere (most likely cell phone) & even the cheapest quartz watch will do well. Yet we continue to buy them in all shapes & sizes & for a myriad of price tags. Always liked these replicas from the 40's Luftwaffe.
Its actually a copy of the original Nav B-uhr watches from WWII, of which IWC, Wempe, A Lange, Laco and Stowa were ALL original manufacturers, not just IWC.
There's a lot of these pilots' watch copies around now. I was looking at getting a Steinhart, any experience/words on them? My main issue is that the non-chrono ones don't have a date! Other than that they look nice. The chronos have a day and a date but are twice the price.

I know Ticino uses Cheap Chinese movements, but i think it would be pretty cool if they made a manual-wind chrono.
