Dave is one of my all time favorite drummers, he's just not widely known as a solo drummer, and there's nothing wrong with that. I love bot playing and watching people play drums, but so many solos seem derivative of what Buddy Rich, Louis Bellson, and so many other great drummers have already done. As for the "10 year old black kid", that was Tony Royster Jr. some time ago, and he is one of the most badass drummers around, period.
