Beautiful. The children have an enourmous amount to overcome and then accept the cruel realities of life like everyone else. It's not bitter; it's reality. I am sure this was incredible in the flesh.
@rightlag This is at the Shoreline Amphitheater. It's a benefit held each year for a school for children with disabilities. There were a TON of people there. Have you ever been to a quiet concert? lol
Ah, this is so frustrating... I want to tell all those people talking to shut the hell up and have some respect for what's happening on stage... Trent Reznor is not a bar band...
i love this version, but i think it was a stupid concept to make the disabled people sit on the stage even if the benefit was for them. but they certainly were a more grateful audience than the one in front of Trent.
Um, I've actually sat backstage at a few Brigde School Benifit concerts because my brother attended that school for the three years you are permitted to go. And they're the best seats in the house. I know because I've also sat in the seats. ;]

This version is awesome! And what a wonderfully great human Trent is. I love him in a non-gay kinda way.

Does he say "crown of shit" in front of the children?

I hope he releases a whole album of some of his songs with string instruments... This is SO good.

I wish the audience would have some respect

@rightlag I think the school is a school for kids with learning difficulties. CP and Down's syndrome. (not a joke by the way.)

during the first minute, the violin, actually sounding like a desperately wailing harmonica... truly haunting. sure sent shivers down my spine.

beautiful, if u like it look for the Fleshquartet and Freddie Wadling

is it me or does it just sound like theres a flat note on the strings at the end of every first bar??
gah. dissapointing - trent sings this amazing though (granted he's supposed to and all)...

ok apologies, its supposed to be like that. my bad.

what the fuck is this why is he playing with some school girls
BellJH 4 years ago
Excuse me, but they aren't school girls. They're professional string musicians. The two girls are Ana Lenchantin and Vanessa Freebairn-Smith.
skylar337 3 years ago 4
Paz lenchantin's daughter?
skater120790 3 years ago
Ana is Paz's sister.

at 1:04 I would have just walked off the stage. . . . . or just played her instrument for her
lvl3age 4 years ago 4
They're just arrangements. They don't have to sound exactly like the studio version.

Definitely! I'm sick and tired of a**holes who insist otherwise!
Cash is a genius in his own right and I have a lot of respect for him, but this is Reznor's song in every aspect.

The string musicians aren't very good. Good string musicians could've pulled off a NIN set
foffle 4 years ago
yeah, it'd be different if it was a concert of nin fans, that would be frustrating to experience
derelict83 4 years ago
that would have been such an amazing experience. It botheres me though, the way the audience is talking over the perfomance
