this is hopefuully gonna only be on ps3 cause it has already been proved that blu ray holds more space than a 360 dvd disk cause the reality is final fantasy 13 was a big game, but they had to cut alot of the towns and interaction points for the shop and upgrade through the save point thus making it somewhat tedious and repetitive so hope fully it will be ps3 exclusive purely so that we can see what they really can do with a disk that holds 10 times the space of a dvd disc! :)
90% of all video games now a days are rated M, and for the reason of the violence and half naked chicks (keep them coming) every game I own besides older games is rated M, why? because most gamers today are mature, CoD, Halo, Gears, Mag, ect, its about the blood, gore, violence and sexual content that make players want to play it, they will lose little to no money on this for being rated M, if anything they will get more money

It isn`t said that there will be no X360 release later on but there is no need to cry just look at FFXIII. That game is OK but it isn nearly as good as other games or other FF games. I am not expecting much for these games and they even plan for FF XIII-2. Count me out on that if it is a direct sequel. And don`t even mention XIV now that game is horrible they need to change alot to make it atleast average. Basically the recent FF Games lack alot. they are experimenting too much.

We have different Opinions there. The Storyline consisted of running running running? There was no open world and the whole game had the same story without much of plot twists (except the ruler forgot his name). And it was the first time in a FF Game that i felt it kinda seems to be a mix of FFVII & FFX. Like there is cocoon and Pulse and in FFVII there was an outer world and inner world. And the ruler who looked like a church guy is the evil person resembles alot to FFX.
@htdmc2010: Sorry to butt in but the reason why you see so many resemblances to VII and X in XIII is because that's what the team wanted. VII, VIII and X were made by XIII's team and they wanted to repeat that success, Fabula Nova Crystallis is also the same money making polymorphic content strategy as the Compilation of FFVII. It's the same idea, just a different number and it works. Also when you play XII try to keep in mind that it's not supposed to be like the other numbered FFs.
I don`t say it is a Bad game but it surely can`t reach any of the other FF Games. Square experimented on XIII and some stuff are good like the battle system but most parts lack alot. The only FF Game that i can`t judge because i haven`t played it yet is FF XII but that comes next.

@htdmc2010 I agree completely. With XII, they try to simulate an mmo. Then they made the XIII lacking everything, especially interesting characters with complex background. It all started with X-2. In my opinion FF VIII is my fav one but the story in XIII was so amazing, even i didn't like the lineal style if i remember X was a lil bit lineal aswell. I read that in Versus they're coming back to the old school "map" and now I can see that what I read about the gameplay was true, KH style similar to crisis core. I liked the battle system in crisis core it was different, I just hope they dont use the battle system they used in XII. I have huge expectations for XIII-2 aswell =)

ff 13. i love turn based system, its fun. I hate that you cant free roam the world, cant lvl up as much as you want if you arent so far in the story, and most of the game you cant pick your team setup.
13 sucked so bad...... they shouldve done realtime fighting like kh as soon as sony invented the ps2 but they were being total retards about it and kept it turn based. bassicaly theyve made it all about graphics and cutscenes and flushed good gameplay down the toilet. but finally it will be good again..... hopefully

I really hope that Final Fantasy Versus XIII stays a PS3 exclusive. I mean sure they all say it will be, but the same people that said it can change their minds and possibly port the game to the Xbox 360. it's obvious that XIII couldn't handle well on the 360 and the frame rate on some parts speak for itself. not to mention the CG cutscenes were actually running at 576p and upscaled to HD. and someone told me that some content might have been taken out.

If they had added what they did, the ps3 version would have got delayed, ff13 was watered down completely. Final Fantasy VIII's "quirky sidequests" were mostly a card game and a few more monster fights. >_> If you're going to compare it to the older games' variety, try FF7 or FF9, with all their little minigames and such.
@DoctorDoubleX You do know that the Devs had cut back on alot of content due to the fact of them switching to Crystal Tools? The game was originally intended to come out for the PS2 but they decided to make it for the PS3 thus they had to redo everything, They knew that the switch will slow down their progress, it did, but it took them to switch longer than what they expected, which is why FFXIII has a lack of pretty much everything except like you said graphics and Cut scenes .
@DoctorDoubleX maybe the reason for them making XIII-2 is to add what they couldn't in the first, more sidequests, a better post game Super boss,TOWNZ Lol JK,etc. But who knows only time will tell if XIII-2 will give us what we missed out, more, or the same quality XIII had offered, maybe to start over on something new? I liked XIII i loved what it had to offer BUT i will not deny that it was missing alot things. But none the less im still looking forward to XIII-2. Sorry for the Double Post =P
why would you want a game like that then there would be no end to it, at least this way you get an amazing story that grabs the players attention leaving them wanting to find out what happens next. If you want a giant world with a shitty storyline but shitloads to do then play an MMO

It was my first game and it was pretty good, then I played 1,2,7,8,9 and they are wonderful and FF13 is quite a shame, FF9 is my favorite game of all time now... i liked a bit of exploration, but sometimes lazy too. I don't really care about the diffrence. ff13 was fine, the crappy thing was the shop, and i wish there were more maps....guess xbox360 couldn't handle all that.

Reading these comments makes me think: Does it honestly really matter about the fucking consoles? just reading these comments annoys me. So you are happy that other FF fans will be deprived of the chance to play this game because they don't have a PS3? also in regards to comments about FF 13, while I do agree with you guys that the game felt too linear, what with the maps, it was still a pretty amazing game and maybe they will probably fix the flaws in FF 13 by creating FF 13 episode 2.

This Game is Gonna Be Long And Awesome Considering It's Exclusive For Ps3 And Blu-Ray Discs Can Hold A Lot More Data Than a DVD Discs. In my opinion FF VIII is my fav one but the story in XIII was so amazing, even i didn't like the lineal style if i remember X was a lil bit lineal aswell. I read that in Versus they're coming back to the old school "map" and now I can see that what I read about the gameplay was true, KH style similar to crisis core. I liked the battle system in crisis core it was different, I just hope they dont use the battle system they used in XII. I have huge expectations for XIII-2 aswell =)

ff 13. i love turn based system, its fun. I hate that you cant free roam the world, cant lvl up as much as you want if you arent so far in the story, and most of the game you cant pick your team setup.

13 sucked so bad...... they shouldve done realtime fighting like kh as soon as sony invented the ps2 but they were being total retards about it and kept it turn based. bassicaly theyve made it all about graphics and cutscenes and flushed good gameplay down the toilet. but finally it will be good again..... hopefully

I really hope that Final Fantasy Versus XIII stays a PS3 exclusive. I mean sure they all say it will be, but the same people that said it can change their minds and possibly port the game to the Xbox 360. it's obvious that XIII couldn't handle well on the 360 and the frame rate on some parts speak for itself. not to mention the CG cutscenes were actually running at 576p and upscaled to HD. and someone told me that some content might have been taken out.

FF13 was good but the last boss ... it was a freaking shitfuck ... i couldnt beat it and then there was a boss behind it and i stopped because i always had to beat that one to fight the other one then again so it was so fkin annoying so i stopped and left it there... now sometimes i played again from where was a free roam shit for like 10 mins and then stoppd again sooo i can say i didnt rly like the game bcoz of the last boss i didnt even see the ending tho

@BLu3Shuffle It did not suck, a lot was taken out of ff13 because it was made for 360 as well, it just would not fit on the 360. If they had added what they did, the ps3 version would have got delayed, ff13 was watered down completely. Blame them for putting it on 360, I wish a new version came out with what they took out, because of the 360 anouncement it got put like that. WIth the advent of big storage game systems you'd think they'd make massive worlds you can explore. But instead they focus all their energy on the graphics and cut scenes.

I liked FFVIII because it mixed the cut scenes into the action, it just didnt give you a stupidly long cut scene after walking down a bowling lane with a few items and monsters. I like fighting monsters but thats all XIII had to offer, it just lacked so much and was yet another huge dissapointment. FFVIII

Final Fantasy VIII's "quirky sidequests" were mostly a card game and a few more monster fights. >_> If you're going to compare it to the older games' variety, try FF7 or FF9, with all their little minigames and such.

@DoctorDoubleX You do know that the Devs had cut back on alot of content due to the fact of them switching to Crystal Tools? The game was originally intended to come out for the PS2 but they decided to make it for the PS3 thus they had to redo everything, They knew that the switch will slow down their progress, it did, but it took them to switch longer than what they expected, which is why FFXIII has a lack of pretty much everything except like you said graphics and Cut scenes .

@DoctorDoubleX maybe the reason for them making XIII-2 is to add what they couldn't in the first, more sidequests, a better post game Super boss,TOWNZ Lol JK,etc. But who knows only time will tell if XIII-2 will give us what we missed out, more, or the same quality XIII had offered, maybe to start over on something new? I liked XIII i loved what it had to offer BUT i will not deny that it was missing alot things. But none the less im still looking forward to XIII-2. Sorry for the Double Post =P

It was my first game and it was pretty good, then I played 1,2,7,8,9 and they are wonderful and FF13 is quite a shame, FF9 is my favorite game of all time now... I personally think Versus is gonna suck, I hate the combat system and the environments....
