  • should compare to the "Wing Chun" from Keith Kernspecht

  • "it's not the style that makes the man great, it is the man that makes the style great"

lateGM Wai Hong, fu jow pai

  • Ok now for my real question lol. First off im a Leung Ting Wing Tsun guy. And all I have heard since I started (six years) is how bad-ass Sifu Lam is. We have alot of respect for Sifu Lam and his Wing Chun. My question is, why is it bad to attack with a Ding-Jarn (butting-elbow)? Givin a time or place i think it is all applicable. I just saw a video of a Moy yat guy trying to say that Kwai-Jarn was a bad attack? Then why have the Biu-Tze formwith all the elbows?

    Respect,

    Jeff H.

  • @GUFF21 I train in Moy Yat lineage, so I think I can explain it. It's not that using the elbow is a bad attack. But it's used when your structure has been compromised. So if you purposely collapse your structure to do the elbow, it's a bad idea. Biu Jee is nicknamed "first aid hands" or emergency. It's what you do when things have gone wrong. You have to know these things because things do go wrong in real fights. But they are not the techniques of choice. I hope that makes sense.

  • What a crock of oriental bullshit. You wing chung fags need to live in reality; this gary lam fraud would have his balls kicked through his chin in a real fight.

  • @Blndrfist you an idiot , wing chun is for defense...u dont use it in a fight, u use it in a battle...try out a real boxer against a wing chun user in a fight to the death, wing chun user would win in 10 sec...u must be one of the stupid mma boy...

  • @OldschoolDresta You're an imbecile and you don't have a clue what you're talking about. This is not surprising given that you are in love with your aids idol easy e the ghetto criminal.

  • @Blndrfist yea....u are a stupid idiot....just think a little bit....if wing chun was shit and this sifu would be shit, nobody would practice it and nobody would respect the sifu...what are u in life? you are nothing...just a big fat retarded idiot who hates everybody on youtube >> go get a girl or something stupid fuck, and aids idol eazy-e ? wtf? you r a virgin idiot ahahha

  • @OldschoolDresta Wrong idiot ghetto loser. There are many credulous LARPing morons in the world such as you who believe what the see in hollywood movies. That is why fucktards like the fraud you see here have a following. None of them ever fight though; not ever, except once. Here is the result: watch?v=_LZVDVEKRrI

A kung fu "master" just like lam the fraud got bitch owned you clown.

  • @Blndrfist LOL, man....go to a kungfu school, chalenge a kung fu master...and u will get beaten down...even suck crap as karate is awsome if the user knows how to use it...its pointless to say wing chun sucks....THE USER SUCKS BUT NOT THE MARTIAL ART...its the fastest hand martial art in the world.....

  • @Blndrfist WHAT KIND OF KUNG FU IS THAT??? the dude didnt even go to a defensive stance...a fat chinese guy who gets low kicked by a mma dude? dont believe what ever titles say, that fat idiot is a street fighter

  • @OldschoolDresta Must disagree with you man "wing chun user would win in 10 sec...u must be one of the stupid mma boy... "

    3 seconds ;-)

  • @MrBuggaLugs depends if the stupid mma boy tries to fk around with useless takedowns XD

  • @OldschoolDresta

Haha. I know this is a super old post to be responding to. I also want to note that I have mad respect for Wing Chun, my striking coach incorporates Wing Chun, Kali and Muay Thai which is awesome. It is also interesting how much Wing Chun can carry over to BJJ and ground fighting. As my Sifu says, everything is Wing Chun. That being said, takedowns aren't useless. I know guys who can shoot and get an ankle pick from 10 feet away so fast that you have no idea until you're down.

  • @OldschoolDresta The problem with MMA fighters (respect) is they are limited to certain techniques. The reason alot of Wing Tsun (chun) people do not fight in the ring is because they limit what you can use. If any MMA fighter thinks they are bad bad, challenge a wing tsun guy to a no holds barred comp. I currently live in mineral wells texas, if your in the area, give me a shout, only NO RULES. We'll see whats up.

  • @GUFF21 im not an mma fighter, and i was on kung fu side lol,

  • @GUFF21

Did you ever get a taker on your fight challenge? If you really are interested in such a challenge you should go into some of the MMA gyms in Fort Worth and issue it there. I am sure you'd have some takers. Please film and post on youtube. I'd love to see how it turns out. I just doubt anyone is going to roll out to Mineral Wells, it looks to be in the middle of nowhere. Just hope you don't get a fighter who "dumbs down" for the cage.

  • Gary Lam is very good . His dvds are some of the best i have seen. He has a fantastic understanding of wing chun. I have been training in wing chun for 13 years . The information he passes on is first class.

  • I just started wing chun a few weeks ago. I saw the videos of gary lam. He's really great.

  • I always see him using those push moves. I don't see other masters use those as much as he does. They seem very useful.

    Appreciate the Post

  • Could you post a link of Igor Zoran, can't find it.

  • of course Lam is good, his instructor is the best fighter among the students of Ip Man.

  • Gary SLAM rocks!!!!

  • he is a very good teacher just like the late bruce lee

  • It's always good to see someone doing Wing Chun correctly with all the bollocks floating about on youtube.

    Much respect Sifu Lam. :)

  • Not a 'inside pak', it's a 'cup jarn'. The move is from 'bui jee' form. 'cup jarn' can only be applied under certain condition or after a 'set up'. Depends on how you feel your opponent's flow. May be the WSL lineage call it 'inside pak' but I respectfully bag to differ. The important points of 'cup jarn' are: the elbow should trace a small arc, diagonally from top down. Secondly, one should apply pulling force after grabbing the opponent's hand. Plus 'yui ma' advancing to close the distance.=)

  • do u know how much of an idiot u sound like. who gives a fuck what its called.

  • I haven't even remembered the 3rd form but I can say your wrong cause I would definitely take Gary Lam's word than yours... With that said im pretty positive your just saying all that so you sound like you know something.

  • It's an inside Pak. But in some crappy schools, like the one from Todd Shawn Tei, they do call it cup jarn - which basically means elbows down.

  • hahaha.. it took mofotox a whole paragraph to explain what u cleared in one sentence.

    mofotox getting exposed bwahahaha.

    respect.

  • cup of tea sau

  • damn i need to get back into wing chun..
