can you make a video showing that these dogs were aggresive instead of the internet viewers just taking a random persons word that these were aggressive dogs..kinda like a before and after..it would help you out a bit
@DreamComeTrueK9 yes i can but not these particular dogs..but in the future i will. I also have videos up of Holly and Molly which shows some before and after.thanks for the suggestion
hey man i have question.. i have a shepherd.. and he is very obidient and all but every time i take him out for a walk and he see's another dogs he goes crazy, and like, i have a friend who has a puppy and i like too stay with him when my friend is out for trips and all.. so at home i start giving my friends puppy some treats and play with him and my shepherd goes crazy mad.. so you think he gets jealous or something like that, because he doesnt go mad when im with my cat... which is not normal.
ye 4 dogs at a time maybe,my 2 y.o doberman has been through 3 trainers already they all had 1 answer for his agressiveness:"Get Him Neutered".He does OK with a couple dogs at a time and if they're not agressive, but at a dog different story. I just cant take him to the park anymore. And to all u guys that don't neuter your dogs, u should, I haven't done it YET bcs he is full akc with excellent working abilities and he will be bred once he loses his agressivness as I don't want agressive puppies.
@Sporsen 1st, I don even know wut ur replying to bcs I probably left a comment here a long time ago, But I'm very much against neutering dogs and I think if someone wants to neuter their dog, they should give it up to someone else who knows how to treat and behave them. We don't neuter dogs only bcs they F..k all day and produce puppies, we do it because it's CONVENIENT 4 us. when it gets to neutering dogs I don't give a ratsass how VETs recommend it 4 health purposes, IT'S WRONG.
@forzaitaly1 haha no lol,, i thought you were saying you would do it because couldnt handle the dog! sorry,, i totally agree with you, my german shep is only done because he is from a rescue centre and was already castrated (unfortunately). however i dont agree with breeding for profit as there are already so many unwnated dogs... Just a misunderstanding but nice to know people out there who think it's wrong :)
I can work with your border collie...it is important that we train in a calm manner.that does not mean constant praise, but it means our energy must be calm and even if we want our dogs to be calm and even....I have never met an "aggressive" dog that I cannot help and have worked with 100's of them that need this type of help. Feel free to contact me for more help
lol, well i'm convinced. my dog was really bad, i just had to keep her away from other big dogs till she got old, now she doesn't care to make fights anymore lol.
I have the same dog, but he is aggresssive, how can i make him lamblike.today he almost killed a dog.he attacks everything he see,EXCEPT ME. WHAT SHOULD I DO
First you should walk him extensively . Tire him out and challenge his mind . Rigorous exercise and consistent mental challenge will rid him of much excess energy and likely lower his aggression .
Another thing to be aware of is your own mindset . Do you get tense when you and your dog encounter other dogs ? Your job is to remain calm and " in the moment " . Do not worry about what might happen . I guarantee worry will be a self fulfilling prophesy .
Yeh I get a littel tense when my dog encounter other dogs , but if I try to calm him and if i try to take him away at the moment when he start fighting, is there a chance that he will attack me?
Do not let it get to the point where it becomes a fight . Try this , when you are out walking and you see another dog approaching try and make your dog sit . Do not let him look at the other dog . Try and make him look up at you . When he does look up at you , look right into his eyes and try and send him calm / assertive energy . Tell yourself and him that you are in control . That you are calm . That you own the street and that he has to behave a certain way .
None of this is verbal . In fact , talking to your dog is usually pointless . Dogs react much better to physical stimulation as well as the energy you send to them . It will be hard at first but you must " fake it till you make it " . In other words you have to act like you are calm and in control even if you do not truly feel like you are .
why is it funny .... i do get my info from cesar milan ... i am no dog expert by any means but I have used cesar`s concepts successfully on my own high energy / slightly aggressive dog with excellent results ....if these concepts can help someone else it doesnt matter who gets the credit ...
good job :). I absolutely adore GSD's! calm and assertive behaviour is a must, though I find it very difficlult to acheive when I get my mind in a perdicament of aggression haha good work.
what are you talking about....i did not train this dog..i rescued it from an owner..and I am rehabilitating it...and aggressive dogs don't kill dogs they are mating with..
imthetruth.....ur agressive dog as u put it is ur own making. dogs are not born agressive ,they are the owners making. And no because u have an agressive dog i think firstly u should think of training it before you think of using it as a stud, not because it would sire agressive pups because it wouldnt but becuase it would probaly kill the female it was pumping
I had 3 chiguaguas, 2 were female one is a male, now I have 2 male and female. But i have a weimaraner dog and kill on of my chiguaguas., and 2 weeks later she got my other female chiguagua, but lucky my dad, he was there, to take her out of her mouth, and my dad press the weimaraner mouth lips and she start to cry, and now she can not see my chiguagua on the back yard, so we have to keep her inside the house.
does anyone know if aggresive male dogs make aggresive puppies???? not just purebreed dogs im talking male dogs in general because I have an aggresive male dog that I think would make a great stud dog for a female and the puppies should make great guard dogs in the future.
While you can pass on certain traits such as temperment from parent to puppies, the outcome is highly dependent on how the puppies are raised. That is, even if a puppy comes from aggressive parents, there is no indication that the puppy will also be aggressive, if it trained. I assume that it would work vice versa as well, although I don't know why you would want to breed AGGRESSION into your dogs. I'm not sure why you'd want to breed your dog at all, honestly. Too many dogs in shelters.
hi i think your a very great trainer i am getting a german shepard pup first and i really want it to obay me meaning listen and i need advice do i spoil him or idk i need advice plz tell me
I always recommend that new dogs coming into a home first meet in a neutral place like a park....go for a walk and then come home..it is not your chihuahua's home to protect..it is your home and if you want to ad 1 or 10 dogs to it your dog needs to accept it...i would get some help on this. once your new dogs hits 9 months your new dog is going to start responding in a more aggressive way and this can turn into aggression towards other dogs..
Great video! I have a chihuahua mix thats dog aggressive. We recently took in a friendly GS mix 5-6 mo. old stray. Took a week for chihuahua to even let him in the fence. Now (about 2 months later) the GS was playing with the kids & my 5 yo squeeled. The chihuahua misread it, jumped on the GS's neck & didn't let go for almost a minute. The GS was yelping, starting to get mad & finally got him off. I don't want the GS to turn mean but I expect he'll start defending himself. Not sure what to do.
noooooooooooo....the dogs that i am working with are aggressive...those particular 4 dogs in the movie....the dogs that are in front of you on the screen.....i work with all dogs and I have met every breed that has been aggressive...were does it say that all GSD are aggressive on my video, on my website, on my blog?
recently my english springer spaniel(molly) attacked my lab(maggie) molly would not let go of maggie she grabbed her neck and shook it trying to kill her (they were friends for 2 years)i broke them up a using a metal broom and shoving it in her mouth then she went back and maggie got a hold of her ear so molly shook and maggie pulled and mollys ear ripped and was hanging by a few hairs we got both of them to a vet do u have a way to break them apart faster (it took us 20min)(we tried evrything)
I would like to see you try this with my Great Dane. It has a bad reputation when dealing with anyone other than myself. I've tried showing it other people and dogs but it will either attack or growl at them. However it is a loving and affectionate dog, to me.
@Ikazi u might not want to hear thisbut the problem is you..if the dog is loving and affectionate with you its YOUR job to take on the leadership role and show him who and what is acceptable, and not accept his behavior as apart of who the dog is...remember at the end of the day he is still a dog not a human...you need to show him the ropes and the end result will be trust that goes both ways
I feel that their behaviors could have been worked on without restoring to prong collars, but wonderful to see that the dogs were able to overcome and modify their behaviors.
I disagree; Depending on how you utilize a nylon collar, I feel that they are the most humane collar. Most trainers use collars to 'restrict' their dogs' actions and movements, or 'correct' a dog's behavior. However, I do not. I use collars merely as an object that I use to temporarily attach the dog to myself, and I use other methods to obtain my results. I am not here to argue. But I am curious, would you use a prong on a 8 pound, dog aggressive Chihuahua?
it is okay to agree to disagree..we obviously have different methods..with the hundreds of dogs i have worked with 1 on 1 as well as HIGHLY aggressive dogs that I have rehabilitated and kept them from putting down..i prong collar allows you to work on the actual training at hand. Would i use a prong collar on a 8 pound dog....if I found it affective I would...and i have used it on my own 6 pound chihuahua in order to get the results I needed.....out of curiosity do you use food in your training?
I use whatever motivates, encourages, stimulates, and focuses the dog. Individual dogs vary, but I use verbal praise and positive physical contact with many, toys with others, and yes, food for many others. However, it doesn't take long for the dogs to learn that 'training' is all but a fun game, and they begin to 'want' to please and obey on their own.
Anyways, I'll take a look at your other videos as I'm always interested in learning about other's techniques.
sooo if u h8 collars.. why do u have collars on all 4 dogs in the video.. n how do we know that they r aggressive n it was 2 hours after they met?.. im not as convinced, can i have some solid evidence?.. maybe a video
they are wearing prong(pinch) collars that are the best training collars for a dog..i don't have to prove anything to you..this is not some smoke and mirrors that I am doing..i am a dog trainer...bring me an aggressive dog...pay my going rate and I will show you
