I'm Canadian and I think this guy has every right to say that. Canada played hard for about a sixth of the game, and didn't really put the effort in that Russia did. It's ridiculous to throw away most of a game, get down 6-1 and expect to win with heroics. I've never understood why everyone gets so worked up about this tournament, good on this guy. This interview was a pleasant change from the typical "y'know we passed the puck well, y'know the boys worked hard" interviews that North American players produce.

I'm Canadian and I think this guy has every right to say that. Canada played hard for about a sixth of the game, and didn't really put the effort in that Russia did. It's ridiculous to throw away most of a game, get down 6-1 and expect to win with heroics. To me it seems like the Canadian players were just as cocky as this guy before the game even started, which was obviously a Canada lose Russia win/better recipe.

they also forget that, canada has like 7 complete studs in the NHL right now that were eligible to play in the tournament... put one of those guys, nugent-hopkins, jeff skinner, ryan johansen anyone of them and canada wins the tournament in a land slide. not to mention of course, smith-pelly who came from the nhl and broke his foot in the first game... so sorry russia, but you beat what was basically canadas taxi squad.
