Jonathan Cheechoo almost scored 60 goals in 2005-06 he had 56 he's the only play to approach to come close to 60 in 13 years besides Ovechkin

I want to believe that being Canadian and all but Crosby is surrounded by way more talent being on Pittsburgh. Ovechkin is tougher and faster in my opinion. Lecavalier I think is even better than Crosby. I agree that Crosby has the potential to be the best(lets not forget he is a year and a half younger than Ovechkin and yes he won the MVP last year) but I think this year Ovechkin will get all the awards.(he also took rookie of the year from Crosby).Most of my friends agree with you however.

you're retarded. goals totals in my opinion are the best measure of an offensive players talent. In that regard, ovie has WAY more goals than crosby over his career. Plus hes faster, tougher, shoots harder, and never complains about anything. All of that is better than crosby's passing and falling skills.

The reason crosby plays like this is because he is an intelligent hockey player. Kind of like uhhh.....i dunno......wayne fucking gretzky. He sees the game at a different level which is why he sets people up, which is why his setup skills by far surpass his shooting ability.

Don't you think it's a little soon to compare Cindy Crosby with Gretzky. His skills, records, and sportsmanship are untouchable. In fact, if Gretzky never scored a goal in his career, then he would still have the most all-time points. Crosby's okay (with ovie being WAY better), but not great like that.

@Xerxes4242 ..I am merely saying that an INDIVIDUAL's offensive capabilities are best measured by goals alone. I'm not complaining about assists. In fact, I get more assists than goals in my own hockey career. However, Ovie has way more skill than crosby but at the time this video was made he had no back-up talent while Crosby did. This year is a different story considering now Ovie has way more assists and as many goals as crosby even though he played like 10 less games than crosby.

@whalerhockey Crosby scored 51 goals last season(Rocket Richard) and was leading the league in goals again this year with 32 in 41 games before he got injured. Funny how Crosby decides he wants to be the leagues best goal scorer and then does it.

ovechkin missed like 10 games the year sid won the rocket richard. do you really think ovi wouldnt have scored 2 goals in 10 games to win it ? as for this year they had the same amount of goals. Since you ignored games played when talking about sids richard win i assume you wont bring up games played here in defense to their tie.

@jayvardy No I will bring up the fact that the 2009-2010 Capitals were stacked Offensively. Ovechkin played with Backstrom who had 70 assists and over 100 points. Knuble/Semin/Green. Crosby played with Dupuis and Guerin who combined together for 86 points.So one of Ovechki's linmeates had more points than Both of Crosby's. Malkin was injured that season and missed a lot of games. The best assist total one of Crosby's linemates has was 24 and that was a 39 year old Bill Guerin. lol.
