@Haufenaccount Cookie monster vocals are kinda like a dog bark. There's a lot of power behind them. This is the technique that Nergal, Corpsegrinder, Frank Mullen, Angela Gossow use although each of them uses it in different ways.

False chord technique is more of an "artificial" sound creating my mouth shapes. There's less power behind it but more flexibility of the types of sounds you can create.

@goatambush Vocals that you actually bark out. There's more voice in them. The best way to describe the feeling is stomach vocals. False chord technique is more like head vocals because the sound is made more from mouth shape.

@Alxxxs thanx, sounds like something I should try. Do I still need to do the heavy sigh like false chord screams and growls or do I just try to do a low shout, or is different from either of those?

@goatambush It's like a loud shout but you drop your larynx and push air and the sound out with your diaphragm. It has less "voice" in it then a loud shout. This point is hard to explain. I recommend practice trying to get a lower sound when you are doing a "loud shout." If you post a video of you practicing it on youtube and let me know, I'll check it out and comment.
