Was this done with an outside key frame manager like monsters or just converted audio to key frames? cause i think you just converted and would definitely recommend monsters as you can do different db levels to perfectly suit the y axis placement of the emitter.

@UniversalFX i used trapcode sound keys and paricular. the position the emitter is xy and then z on its own. i couldn't figure out the expresion to isolate the y on its own so i ofset the z insted and i rotated the world by 90 degrees in particular. this may look like a y ofset but what u can see is from the top view ;)

by the way about the expression you couldn't get

usually the positions [x,y,z] are always [0,1,2]

x=0

y=1

z=2 you can put anything on these 3 values in trapcode particular position XY they are only 2 [0,1] so basically what you need to do is something like "value = [0,the soundkeys value]"
