ive put together and painted many gundam models and i know what looks good and this guy is good, but its not so hard to do. all you need is a lil bit of paitience some acrylic paint, acrylic thinner, a air brush is a must, lacquer top coat for sealing the paint job and a hand full of commin model tools. if you have any questions i could help with most of your hobbie needs and dont forget that even tho these videos are not in english you could still learn so much just by watching.
its all in the top coat. after painting the model he went over it with some kind of top coat. the top coat makes it able to be panel lined and cleand up with thinner without messing up the paint job. If you live in the states you should be able to buy tamiya but the Gunze sangyo is a nother story. pollyscale acrylics are awesome and are less harmfull the gunze, pluse gunze sangyo is a lacquer paint and is a pain in the ass to use trust me i know. tho pollyscale doesnt have the color range.
On December 24 at 8 o'clock in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Johnson was found dead. Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened. Turns out he was still signed in myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repose a chain letter. If you don't repose this to six videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. sorry don't want to to
heck im so deep in redneck country im using sharpie marker's, and they didnt turn out half bad, even for the clear parts for the gundam00 gn drives and gn sword lol
@AceDudeyeah haha, just go down to china town (if ur city has one) and buy the exact same brands, or better ones. Or order em from hobby link. i buy all my Mr. products from china town, but i buy my paints from Games workshop (war hammer paints) cuz they have a wider variaty of colors, and like, 3-4 times the size of gundam color container, for the same price, and same quality (if u water em dwn a lil)
Please help me on this one, i scribed my lines, tinned up my enalmel black and dripped it onto the line. It runs along the line but when it dries it end up being some really light black line and sometimes its already really light when i first drip it on. Anybody know how i can solve these problems? 5/5 for te guy hoo doz it properly
can someone please help me on this one?? i did everything he did but the paint doesnt run along the line, my friend says i hafta make the line deeper but i dunno how, please help me 5/5 for te vid
mostly practice. get some cheap models glue em up and try to re-create some of the effects you see here or on other models you have seen.
to google searches on "gunpla tutorials" or "gundam tutorials" or "gundam painting max technique" a warning though it is pretty hard to find good tutorials especially if you cant read Japanese.
These vids are a good place to start. There's hundreds of how-to's and tutorials all over the web, but if you come here to ask, you might need to level up your google-fu to find them.
The main problem is that there are so many techniques - simple ones, more elaborate ones, very difficult ones - that a single "this is how to do it" is impossible to find. You just need to find which techniques work for you. And keep in mind that the most important tool is PATIENCE.

These guys are the kings of plastic models. The Japanese guys make the best ones. Plus they have the best supplies like Tamiya and Gunze Sangyo.

I could never build a model that good. It would be cool to see if he painted the little Norris figure that came with it.

Lighter Fluid! Never thought of using that to line the gouf instead of Gunmarkers.
Usually it's paint with thinners, but I guess the fluid fills the lines up automatically too.
