For those people who say that Final Fantasy VIII was retarded because you had to draw 100 (not 99 btw -_-) magic from your enemies are completely ignorant. You guys make it sound like if it was completely necessary, when in fact the game gave you the option of turning common items like potions and tents into magics themselves using the GF abilities. Instead of having to draw 100 magic from the opponent, you could easily have skipped that option (very time-consuming, I know) and be a wise player.

i haven't played it for a while but as i remember through the use of card mod and another refinement you could get 100 ultimas right near the beginning but it was quite hard to do

this is why i loved FF8 it was less about mindless grinding than it was tactics

@gamergeek It's called the Battle Arts collection. What you see right now and refer to as "that many" is not even 1/4th of it =D.

At one point I started collecting them. Managed to get all the models for 4 FF titles, but then gave up. It kinda costs, and honestly, they have no real purpose beyond bragging rights, which isn't that rewarding to begin with, considering some people have an entire room's worth of walls covered in FF figurines and statuettes.
