  • @marcelogranda I used spec mix (cement and sand) with fire clay.

  • very nice! beautiful place. just wondering why the dome fell short of height and why did you place it almost in the center of your green lawn? really liked the numbering on the bricks!

  • @oceantrolls73 dome ht. 15 inches. Placed 10 ft. from home for building code.

  • How do you get the parabolic form ? With what material under the first brick line get the shape of semisphera? That could be of of help for me I'm trying to do an oven like this looks very nice. Thank you.

  • it took all summer. i took my time. it should take about 2-3 weeks if you worked full time on it. go for it, you'll love it!

  • Why did you drill the concrete to put in the rebar? Wouldnt you save time/ energy/ pain to put in the rebar before you poured the slab?

  • i used a mixture of fire clay and cement.

  • On the slab under the oven and for insulation over the bricks on the dome I used a mixture of vermiculite and cement.

  • I've a question, u have inserted the iron bar into the bricks, but after u have fill with cement or not? Why u have inserted the iron bar without cement?

  • My father in law from Italy came out to help me. We used a combo of ideas from the internet.
