  • I agree, in a study done in the 70's, conformity dropped from 37% to 5% when the naive subject had even one friend.

  • @BoredonOccasion Yeah, that is because none of us really stand alone in this world, we are already throw into a world with others. We are very social creatures.

  • In my opinion, at least have 2 confederates per subject. Otherwise it's just one person's word against another and they will be less likely to conform. (And that will mess up the whole experiment. :p)

  • i have a question. can this be done with only one or two confederates??? i have to do this for my psychology class and i want as few confederates as possible...

  • I looked it up and I see both 1951 and 1958. Eh, it doesn't really matter. All I know is that it was in the 50's. Whatever. :)
