Please do not believe everything the media tells you about Islam. You've gotta read the sources yourself to make any kind of judgement on that and I guess that's the very least a person can do while seeking the truth. Right?
As far as people coming back after having crossed over to the other side... bro! That has NEVER happened. The only one we're waiting on is Jesus (peace be upon him).

"And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam's loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord?" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we have been unaware of this." Or lest you should say: "It was only our fathers afortime who took others as partners in worship along with Allah, and we were (merely their) descendants after them;
Will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practised Al-Bâtil (i.e. polytheism and committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allah)?" Thus do We explain the Ayât (proofs, verses, signs, revelations) in detail, so that they may turn (unto the truth)." [Quran 7:172-174]
Trust that clarifies. Your questions are ALWAYS welcome!
Thanks once again bro for your comments!

Thank you for your comment brother! We appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and give us your comments.
The "millions of years ago" phrase is used as metaphorical indication of time, not to be taken literally by any means.
The verses of the Quran that have been referred to, take us back to the time when Allah (God Almighty) created our souls for the very first time:
