  • it be cool if tim burton made his version it

  • @BROKENHOUSEFILMS EXACTLY what i've been thinking! Imagine a TIM BURTON version of Doc Cal. Mind-boggling.

  • @conewells @BROKENHOUSEFILMS Tim Burton has already made his version of this. His entire fraudulent career is based on this beautiful film. It's terrible that he gets away with it.

  • what is the score in this particular version? can someone please help?

  • One of the scariest scenes ever filmed!

  • I love that "Joyful Joyful" is quoted in the music; it makes the scene more sinister. Very cool.

  • Robert Wein was a true expressionist pioneer. A truly peculiar and dark German.

  • this is one of my favorite films ever

it had a big influence on my visual style

in particular my short the sandman

  • i just love this one!!!

  • What a wonderful piece of film! The build up of suspense was excellent - and then POW! When the woman first moved I almost jumped out of my chair lol. Great use of colour and lighting also.

  • LOL! I did. All he said was "Excuse me? Who do you think you're talking to?" He's older than me. I don't care what that asshole who downloads porn says.

  • classic

  • awesome!

Bauhaus made a sticker once with a scene from "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". It exposed me to german expressionism. "Dr. Caligari" was awesome for its time, but not better than "Nosferatu"...
