@szubanator Clayman is probably the greatest In Flames album...it's not a mistery that they are at they're peak here...but Whoracle and LS had some pretty interesting things as well.

But, what i love about this band (and what Anders has said like a ton of times) is this: "We do the music that WE love, not the music that YOU love" haha...i like that.

And i like the new album as well, it's very mature...but in a live show i prefer old stuff, is better for moshing ^^

@HittokiriBattousai17 i agree! Sub and LS had some pretty good, interesting shit that noone else was doing at the time with harmonizing guitars. I guess what i want to say is that instrumentally those albums were great but the vocals just didn't catch me like they did on clayman or even colony. i like Anders' high pitch growl/scream as opposed to those HC or MC bands who vocalist's veins are popping out of their neck and head. Andres is way smoother and he's actually in key. i could go on foreve

The new In Flames is good, it's perhaps more upbeat and melodic but wow, this stuff just excels. Same goes for all the older albums. The epicness of the guitars, the ambient effects in the back, the vocal style.. just amazing.

Everybody is saying "Reroute To Reamain" (2002) was the shittiest album cause they used much of electronic elements. But hey RTR was at least 100 times better than

"A Sense Of Purpose" and also better than "Come Clarity" and "Sountrack".

I mean remember "Cloud Connected" "Trigger" "Dismiss The Cynics" "Free Fall". The Reroute To Remain songs were fuckin awesome. Its sounds really modern okay but its was amazing.

Yeah i have similar onpions in respect of In Flames albums.

Jester Race have such the best atmosphere combinated with genius acoustic parts and guitar solos. Whoracle have pure great vocal hardness with insane riffs. Colony have best vocals and first experiments with synths combinated with the best solos. Clayman points with alternation and bombast tracks like "Only For The Weak". *Comment to be continued*...

*.....RTR reached a new sound with electronic elements, amazing tracks like "Cloud Connected + Trigger, never lost the sense to great IF atmosphere and points also with good lyrics as well. Soundtrack was a good album to me but IMO the first who In Flames lost their typical atmosphere and the "je ne sais quoi" (french). Most underrated song though is "F(r)iend ! "CC" took up roots with more solos and faster riffs. The brilliancy of early times is not reached but it was an new great album....*

It have some good riffs or great ballad composations like "The Chosen Pessimist" but its not "IN FLAMES" anymore....unfortunately. It not even sound like Metal. The vocals of Anders are too whiny and total ruined in my opinion....
